Battletoads (2020) - Nightmare Riders [No dashing, No deaths] 1,577,515 score 

Courtesy of Rare / Dlala was a box including plenty of merchandise and a copy of the game (on the reverse side of the Chet & Sons ID badge) fully playable 3 days before it officially launched imgur.com/a/Ll... The game is really fun and aside from the lack of a life & continue system from the previous games I enjoyed my 4hr 45m of playtime on the hardest difficulty setting. Surprisingly good humor at times, full voice acting, really satisfying combat gameplay etc.
For this playthrough I used keyboard controls since Turbo Bike levels on controller use the analog stick. Even the slightest controller drift will have you unexpectedly hurdling into death and using WASD + Spacebar (default keybindings) felt relatively easy to control. I swapped between toads for this gameplay to demonstrate how they have custom voice lines, each of them control identically. I also tried going for several "near misses" for style points, can't wait to see how far people push the scoring system! This isn't nearly as difficult as the 1991 or Battlemaniacs Turbo Tunnel but I enjoyed it all the same.
