After 10 days and around 24 hours solid gaming I’m proud to say I finally beat this game. Without any save states etc. It was the hardest game I’ve ever had to get my head around. I went back through this game to get to the end at least 100 times. The turbo tunnel alone took around 250+ attempts. What a game long live the toads! Death to the tracktor
Absolute Respect for you, we tried to beat the game with saves states and cheats and was doing okay until the tractor creature came there no bypassing that level without skills.🤣
Try Playing the game through a Game Genie...OR Retron 5 with a LOADED 5-Gigabyte SD Card in back with the cheats from Retron 5 site on there, it REALLY helps out.
At least battletoads and Double Dragons left most of the beat I'm up and left a little bit of platforming. I don't know what they were thinking spiking up the difficulty when RARE made these games. Even the best players will fail

i've done it back in the old super Nintendo days, it took me for sure at least 2000+ tries lmao. I realized you'd have to just go by memory and push up and down as fast as you can at that super speed part. My hands were sore as fuck though. I stopped playing the game because it literally became impossible for me to beat, and it became tiring.. There was no save points. Whatever life you had was it.... you lose it all ... and you'd have to start all over... the furthest i ever got was after i beaten the snake level.... the rat race one was way too hard for me.
Even the second level was demanding.I hate the last section with those narrow spiked corridors! I could never beat the saw chase segment as a kid, though. Bummer.
You have to press the corresponding button to the direction the toad is pointed at to move at max speed. Aside from that there are a few areas where you have to duck and jump which is down on the DPAD and the jump button respectively. Everything else is a matter of memorization and execution.
oh man same i would reach this level as a kid and i would die every time pretty much right at the beginning as i couldnt figure out how to go faster than the chaser.

Is this just not possible on bluetooth with snes 9x. Im using a controller for pimple on the shitty tractor level, literally cant get past the first part where you duck. Half the time i dont make it there because movement is too fking slow. Is pimple slower? Im pressing the arrow keys at the right time & have beaten this on real hardware a while ago. Is emulation of this game just shit? I honestly cannot remember if is only dpad keys to move faster, because they dont fking work half the time, like the upwards movement is slow…

beating this without the practice that save states gives ya...I see a lot of bullshit about this game and similar games... ppl are great at them with save state practice...not that they tell ya... thumbs up if you agree
