I've said it before, but the percussion and bass of the original carry the tune hard, and it mixes very well with the new version, almost as if completing it.
The punchy drum beat in the original Battle Against an Armed Boss theme stands out to be catchier like someone just started a bar fight, while the remake version added the violins to make it feel like you are standing in a _Final Fantasy_ battle. Both. Both is good as it should be.
I am super curious on how the music in Paper Mario TTYD will sound remastered, although I have the original on Gamecube I'm still excited to buy the Switch version sometime next year.
