This was so much fun! The bots will be fighting again in a few weeks and I'm really interested to see how the new parts perform. I need to get myself one of those fancy Markforged printers..
Definitely interested in more robot combat and possibly other weight classes ever since I saw your death roll video 🍻 could be worth a series or at least some highlights on where to learn more about rules /events/leagues and interview some big league teams / players
A lot of the success of the Onyx printers come from a uniform platform and a really good drybox. I suspect you might get some really good results with CF nylon on an enclosed CoreXY and a nice tight drybox.
@@MMuraseofSandvichwe've found that CF nylon alone isn't great for armour as it can actually crack and ablate apart in impacts vs raw nylon. The real inserted CF strands though make a big difference
I designed the robot kit Integza was driving and helped maintain all the kit bots for NHRL at Open Sauce. It was awesome to meet and chat with you all and give Integza some driving lessons, but clearly it could only help so much!
Definitely interested in more robot combat and possibly other weight classes ever since I saw the makersmuse death roll video 🍻 Tips on where to learn more about rules /events/leagues? The one on TV is so out of reach with the costs for parts alone.. its no longer lawnmowers and scrap metal and the teams don't seem to even get compensated for travel /shipping or even some "top 8" prizes of money, materials, or sponsors.. not saying teams should be in it for the money but it's gotten way priced out in the last few years
Yes I agree. I would love to see that. Make it super capacitor powered. So you guys can do many launches very quickly. Just like Tom Standons version. Super epic electric rocket design. Super rapid re-use/ re-test.
I was pleasantly confused watching this video. I thought it was a makers muse video from the thumbnail, then 3DPN showed up, then Integza showed up too!
Portuguese Joel was great. But that was a good look at stress failures and possible solutions. Will need to see MakersMuse update in the future once he uses them against other robots.
3D printing "nerdssss", family announcing and battle bots how gooood!!❤ hope you get to go to portugal for a rematch! And maybe down to straya as well🎉
Holy Crap! It's Integza! I actually expected to see some rockets on his bot. Love this vid! I am a huge fan of BattleBots and it was awesome to see these "mini" bots battling it out in the arena. Thanks for the vid. And remember... tomatoes are stupid. 😁
So, I'm in my late 40s, and recently have been having to deal with the fact that all my friends' kids are now fully grown adults. Realising I've been watching this channel long enough to see Sydney grow up is not helping with my "feeling old!" Honestly, in the thumbnail I'd assumed she was someone from the event and without the title card for her I'd never have figured it out. Also, it was great fun to see you both in the same room!
@@qosimhassan1504 I dunno, I don't do Facebook. Why are you asking me, anyway? Or are you just trying to piggyback off of the fact that Joel commented on my comment? If so, the better approach is to tune into one of the live streams and use a SuperChat to ask him there.
"reality has now collapsed and we should escape quickly" Can we just appreciate such a vibey yet also brave statement from Joel? Seriously, it should be on a t-shirt.
Excellent presentation of the strength abilities. Very applicable for prototype device contrivances & components that operate in harsh conditions. The variation of that with extremes of heat and cold would be something to consider.
Seeing 3 of the guys I follow and respect not only for 3D Printing but also in their engineering, battling out in battle bots, awesome! @MakersMuse @Integza @3dprintingnerd I would love to see more colabs like this!
"What... is your name?" "It is Arthur, King of the Britons." "What... is your quest?" "To seek the Holy Grail." "What... is the lifting capacity of a full Joel?" "... What do you mean? An American Joel or a European Joel?"
8:29 Unless I'm mistaken, Onyx is CF-filled nylon but it's not continuous fiber, that's a different thing that is actually automatically cut in the printer. (We use Onyx Ones which just print Onyx and nothing else)
Angus maybe, do some TPU Supports under the weapons supporting arms to take away the stress forces like TPU cushions? The stress then would be allot less on the body if the TPU support pads was under the base of the weapon arms. Just a thought? 😉
@@3DPrintingNerd just keep in mind that your 3D printed rocket might end up with a working rocket engine with him around. You might want to check on rocket regulations. Hahaha

Hey Joel, ive been printing with my Ender 3 for about a little under a year now. i just upgraded my printer with a metal extruder. but i am having very bad slipping issues. before i buy a dual extruder, how do i fix the slippage problem? i figured you were the person to ask. Thanks from over here in Marysville WA!!
thank you. I mean the feeder for the filament. it was slipping a bit before with the stock plastic feeder mechanism. but it is way worse now that i have attatched the metal one on. i have turned the temp up to 205 degrees and slowed the printing speed to 35mm a second. but im still having the issue.@@3DPrintingNerd
@@3DPrintingNerd aaaa , you hide your age extremely well, I’ve followed you for many years and it has never dawned on me to think of what your age is .
you know what i love? i am looking everywhere for a video about the new Creality 3 v3 se and some people already have it (including myself) for review and yet i dont see any big 3d printing youtubers including '' 3d printing nerd'' even posting nothing about it.......... this is ridiculous ......... get a grip @3DPrintingNerd
