Batwoman 1x05 "Mine Is a Long and Sad Tale" Season 1 Episode 5 Sneak Peek - BECOMING ALICE - Alice (Rachel Skarsten) takes Kate (Ruby Rose) down the sad, winding road of her life in the days after the accident as Jacob (Dougray Scott) and Sophie (Meagan Tandy) attempt to track them. Mary (Nicole Kang) has an argument with Catherine (Elizabeth Anweis) which sends her looking for Kate at Wayne Tower, but instead she becomes unwelcome company for Luke (Camrus Johnson.) Carl Seaton directed the episode written by Jerry Shandy and Ebony Gilbert (#105). Original airdate 11/3/2019. If it weren't for Skarsten's Alice being LOVED by all who endeavored to watch through a show that was bad in its pilot, the CW wouldn't have ordered a full season of this.

Alice will definitely be one of the greatest villains of the Arrowverse. Also, I really hope they do a Flash-Batwoman crossover, and supergirl-batwoman crossover. It would be awesome to see them in Gotham, and feel like Batwoman is really in the Arrowverse bc they don’t mention the Flash, or the Green Arrow, or the Legends whatsoever

@Hamza Muhammed Al Zeın Its not boring. Villains are boring when they do bad things just because theyre "evil". Real people arent like that. There is always a reason for people doing the things they do. Villains are so much more interesting when they have a reason. Alice is interesting because she is the hero's sister so she creates internal conflict for the hero especially when she wasnt always mad and evil. Kate has memories of her happy sister who she used to play with and now shes faced with that same person that is out killing innocent people. The story of how Beth became Alice is very interesting to me.

Not gonna lie, I love Alice as a villain. But sometimes when she's talking to Kate I wish she'd get to the point. I get that it adds mystery and that she's talking in riddles but it's not Kate's fault, she cares

Sarah Higgins I understand why she does it but she needs to give Kate credit for obviously always caring she could at least answer one questions. She can riddle Jacob to death. But Kate could ask her what time it is and she wouldn't even get to the point. Simple things she should answer. I mean she's entertaining and I like her

Shes very broken and even though shes seen evidence of Kate caring for her and she knows she only stopped looking because they found "proof" that she was dead she's too far gone to really understand what that means. Plus there's the really annoying sister that keeps teasing you dynamic.

Okay everyone 100% honest, I am a person who loves looking into psychology to help me in the long run, and I have been looking into cases of inmates and the reasoning because I want to help people them included. After reading most of the comics and watching the Elsworlds cross-over last year. I can not wait for this episode and I am open-minded to everything I am glad that a show is portraying people as people.

I am taking a course to become a drama therapist in nine years to help people like Alice and everyone, due to the notion of society which is the person is the action, eg why people are so comfortable with calling someone a monster.

I need to get something off my chest. When will people realize that having a lesbian hero doesn't mean that is woke or political? Like, why? Do lesbians only belong to porn or to "lesbian" romcoms? Can't they be heroes? Can't women be heroes? Can't women be lesbian heroes? Y'all, seriously. Why do people give so much relevance to the fact that she's a lesbian? I haven't seen anyone saying that Flash or Arrow or Superman or Batman are straight. WHATSOEVER. So, why should we point out, as a bad thing, that she's a lesbian? WHY do people point it out period? It's just a personality trait. It's not like her romantic/sexual life keeps her from doing things, and if her conquest were men, people wouldn't say shit. They would even ship them, so really just don't. I get that some people would say that their acting is cringey or the writing or things like that, but when y'all are pointing out everytime the fact that she's a woman (taking the place of a man) and that she only dates women, you are sexist and homophobic even if you don't think so.

And, to clarify, I'm not saying YOU MUST LIKE the show. Not at all. What I'm saying is that if the reason you don't like it is because there's a lesbian hero as a protagonist, you have problems. (or if you think that everything that depicts a reality (like: lesbians can exist anywhere and be anything) is political, you're paranoid. For something to be "woke" or political it should criticize the world we live in, and the only scene like that so far is the one when Kate's expelled from the Academy for being a lesbian. Other than that, there's nothing woke or political whatsoever, it's just a reality. Not just straight people can be heroes. And even the Academy scene isn't too political, they don't do a big deal out of it, they make a big deal out of the consequences of getting caught and expelled to Kate's relationship. So really, don't find excuses to be sexist and/or homophobic.
