I have one at home and that’s how I started my kit to work on my cars. I’ve upgrade to Milwaukee fuel, but watching this video, I realize that I probably never actually had to. 😂 regardless awesome video thank you for the testing. This is pretty cool

Bauer works surprisingly well. A lot of power.

Great video! I have the last gen high torque Milwaukee, my friend bought one of these on sale and I picked it up and my jaw dropped at how heavy it was, Im impressed what it can do

I use to work chemical operations and my cheap boss bought us everything from Harbor Freight. Most was crap, but we were all shocked at how long these Bauer Impact survived us beating the shit out of them (Years), BUTTTTTTTTTTTT the one negative I can give this brand is the crappy batteries that we had to replace fairly regularly, unlike my DeWalt tools which have never had to be replaced

Great video! If you can find a shorter socket for the nuts, that will be better, since you will have less power loss to the nuts. Also if you can find your correct socket size in 1/2" (this should be the Bauer square at the end, right?) and fit it directly, you should have even more power (minimized losses going from 1/2" to 3/4").
@somethinguseful2935
@somethinguseful2935 2 месяца назад
Do you mean that there is a loss of impact power between 1/2 and 3/4 sockets? If so, yes, you're right. I even feel a little play between the sockets when I rotate them manually. It's strange, but I've never thought about this before. This is not important if you try to rotate the nut with a constant torque. But it’s probably important when you use impact tools.

@@somethinguseful2935 Exactly, the play that you feel between the 1/2 to 3/4" connector as well as the 3/4 to 3/4 connector to socket play. This means that the impact wrench is losing torque at two separate places and they act as shock absorbers, therefore absorbing some of the torque that would otherwise go straight to impacting the nut or bolt. If you can find your correct socket size in 1/2 and short version (not the long version as you have tested here), give it a try and you should see positive results.

@@somethinguseful2935yeah. I see what the guy is saying. Basically if you use an adapter to fit the proper socket, you're going to lose some power. He's saying use shorties and make sure they're direct fit, and the impact would do even better. But this impact did great nonetheless. I was debating on buying this one or go with kobalt or craftsman. But this is nearly half the price

Got the Job done. Seems fine for diy’ers

Yes, it has a lot of power. Significantly more than what the average person would normally need in a garage. It can probably easily break the head of small bolts. In this video I test maximum torque. Even I almost broke down along with this bauer :-)

Yeah but for most diy guys, this is more then enough for your basic projects around the house or diy on your car

Why would you lubricate the lugs? Now your torque measurements mean nothing.
@somethinguseful2935
@somethinguseful2935 Месяц назад
I wanted to reduce the rust that affects the torque measurement.
@Pro1er
@Pro1er Месяц назад
@@somethinguseful2935 That's what a wire brush is for, adding a lubricant greatly affects the true value of the torque measurement which is why you never lube a lug.

@@somethinguseful2935 There is a ton of information regarding this, Google "how lubricant affects torque" of some variation of that.

@@somethinguseful2935 yep. stuff like anti seize for example can at worst halve your readings, making a 100 ftlb measurement actually produce 200.
