I've taken the Baumr-AG SX92 and the Husqvarna 572xp out for a run on a large Wattle Tree. I have had some problems with the SX92 which I highlight in the video.
Nice video, Hate to tell you but I measured my Baumr-ag SX92 MKII, it has 50mm cylinder & 36mm stroke. calculates to 70.7cc only, NOT 92cc as claimed by seller, It looks to me to be a clone of Husqvarna 372XP which is also I think,70.7cc. just trying to get the word out there about this false advertising.
Hi Anthony. Thanks for watching the video. I've had a look at your videos on measuring the saws and yep it looks like it is a 70 cc saw. I agree I think it is a clone of the 372. Still it will do for what I want which is to cut dirty messy wood.
I have the same saw, and at the price have overall been happy with it. I would agree that it doesn't seem at all like 92cc. I also had a considerable oil leak at first but an O Ring at the chain oil filler cap fixed that. It has had intermittent oil feed issues and having a quick look at it today I am not convinced that the oil inlet holes on the bar line up with the oil feed on the saw. I think the holes on the bar may be several mm too high.
I just picked up an earlier SX92 and it appears to actually be about 92cc. They don't look anything remotely like the newer SX92. Absolute godawful design. 3 allen key screws and some acrobatics to get to the air filter.
I just bought the Baumer SX52 so I wouldn’t wear out my Wood Boss. The chain smokes and stretches after one cut. I can’t recommend it. I suspect it’s also got the wrong chain. The stock tuning in the engine seems fine. While I was online I also bought their 25cc top handle arborist saw. That’s a great little saw if it lasts.
Well I have the sx82 I bought for cutting limby stuff they're just a saw very cheap but does the job. I normally use my husky 394 I've had for 22 years but it gets pretty heavy cutting small wood.
i had one they do the job until they break how long that is ,is a luck off the draw i got one winter i looked after it like i owned it went to use it next year it was dead ignition system failed the mob i got it from were not interested to help so
Some Australian red hardwood will blunt a chain in just a few cuts. Get high quality bar oil with better viscosity such as Sthil or Husqvana not cheap stuff from Aldi that leaks
Thanks for watching. I'm assuming your are talking about the Baumr Ag saw. It had plenty of oil I have since discovered it was the wrong type of chain supplied with the saw.
Hi You are right the chan was the wrong pitch. I have posted another video about the chain. In this video the chain was loose enough it was just the wrong chain
I was read some of the other comments you had. Try when you go to tighten the chain. Hold the bar up. And tighten the chain till it’s barely touching the bar. While you’re still holding the bar up. Then tighten your bar nuts up see if that helps
@@littlemechanicshop Good questions. I know that they did send the wrong Oregon chains with some saws so I ordered separately what I thought was the correct chain but now I'm not so sure. I'll check again and I'll look at the bar studs.
Id really like to get one of those baumr to play with but cant get in the United states..im sure with few little thing replaced it would b a ripper n yes need more fuel on top end for sure
There is probably a Chinese clone saw you could get in the US. I think Holtzforma if I have spelled it right is a brand. I think they make Stihl copies. I have the proper chain for it now so it doesn't bind up but your right about the top end I will adjust the carb.
Try an oil that's thicker, I've found some do what yours is doing and other oils are fine, just depends on brand I find (got stihl, husky and Oleomac and they all leak with certain oils.
@@bigbird130 yea I know how it feels. I run a 1986 ported dolmar 120si for the big wood 22"bar and an el cheapo ryobi 18 " bar for the cleanup. I've just bought an Sx92 and you're 100% correct, the saws need tuning ASAP out of the box but when corrected, these chinese wonders are amazing if you get it right. Some how though, the quality saws always remain the favourite. All the best and great vid too👍
You could try farmertec.com it looks to be a G372. This has same actual specs as Baumr-ag sx92 as sx92 is or was faulsly advertised as92cc. Actually only 70.7
Pro saw verses Chinese stuff, not much of a contest really and 2 completely diff grade saws, bit like expecting a Datsun to drive and perform like a porche - it ain't every going to be the same but the Bumrags are good enough to cut wood, just don't expect them to be like the quality stuff and you will be fine.
Hi Scott. Yeah I wasn't trying to compare them just show them in action. I'm still having problems with the Chinese Saw it is binding up when I do up the bar nuts.
@@bigbird130 Yeah I realised that mate, my comment was more directed at the whingers. Is the chain sitting in the rim sprocket properly, I've made that mistake before and the chain didn't spin as it should.
@@jasonlowe3293 yeh weve owned quite a few baumr ag's 62cc units and 76cc the edisons shipping has significantly increased, theyre ok chainsaws , nowhere near as good a stihl etc but for the price theyre definitely worth it , i ended up dissasembling them all as they live a short life if you cut alot of wood like we do and we look after our gear , biggest issue is parts availabillity there is a company finaly selling spare engine components for them on ebay but now were going to have a play with holzfforma a stihl clone, we already own stihls its just a hobby well one of many hobbies. being a mechanic who no longer works as one you still need to work on something or you go nuts.

grind hard I think the chain was set right. I now believe I have the wrong chain for the saw. I have ordered a new one of what I believe is the correct size. I’ll do another video if this is the case.
Tune the carb so it’s not so rich and then yoyll get the engine revving much harder and avoid the clutch slipping (centrifugal clutch). There’s tuning videos on RU-vid it’s very easy As for oiling I believe there’s an adjustment for oil flow. Is the correct bar and chain oil being used? As for buying the baunr, I don’t understand your logic. You’ve got a Husqvarna which is a $2000.00 machine and don’t want to use it? What does it matter what wood it cuts? It’s one of the best saws money can buy yet you buy a Chinese POS? Why? You’re supporting a diabolical regime and taking away jobs from western countries by buying junk that will end up in the trash in no time.
