Das Boot submarine walkthrough and The Neverending Story set with Falkor!
Hello everyone!
I tried to get what video I could on this trip, but I also wanted to be present and enjoy the journey and experiences in real time.
I booked an Eastern European Highlights trip through Expat Explore where you visit 7 countries in 11 days. It was a total adventure and lots of fun!! Early mornings, tons of walking, lots of driving, met so many great people, new friends and an abundance of new places to explore and learn about. I loved every single place we visited.
One of the highlights of the trip was our tour guide, KIM. She was freakin' AMAZING. Warm, funny, caring, beautiful person who took care of absolutely everyone and was so passionate about everything on the entire trip. Her communication skills were off the hook, too!! It's Hard to find people who understand without actually having to say much, but she gets it. Very intuitive human being. Any tour group or tour company would be lucky to have her as your guide.

I think that the people who have these should keep the rock biter and the racing snail inside with the luck dragon. They are priceless and film history and should not be left outside like garbage cans for the elements to destroy. Just like the back to the future car was and they had to restore it please don’t keep them out side it is heartbreaking.

Sorry to disappoint you, but none of these puppets are the original ones from the film. They are all replicas! They did had the original Falkor there in the beginning, but the last time anyone was lucky enough to see it was in 1989!!! Just like you said, they neglected it so badly that it got deteriorated and eventually they had to destroy it for safety reasons and replaced it with the ugly replica we see in this video. Absolutely sad and shameful for them!

I would have the original skin restored or not thrown away and have replicated. I wouldn't leave The Rock Biter and The Racing Snail outside for them to be damaged by the weather.

There was the real one for decades. But they "repaired" him to much i think.

@@gabidemagic yeah this is the result of a very bad restoration. The only thing that’s original on him is the wireframe of his face and his eyes. 😢

This is not the real Falkor. The real one rotted away by the late 80s and they discarded it instead of repairing it. All that is left of the real Falkor is the eyes.

Ich war 1986 in den Bavaria Film Studios gewesen ich hatte das Glück das ich an dem Tag in einem Video mitspielen konnte,Damals sah es da zwar noch etwas anders aus aber für mich war es der Wahnsinn.Das Deutsche Museum muss man auch gesehen haben.Und aufjedenfall ins Hofbräuhaus .

Sadly Falkor doesnt look like this from the movie anymore.. looks like he is missing some parts of fur on the head..

They had to keep off the original fur and applying a new one, the original unfortunately rotted over the time. Yes they have done an awful job and just keep it here for photos. For me it's a real pain

What's the difference in keeping the original one and let everyone only see the fake one compared to take the original as long as possible and in case anyone wants to see it afterwards then make that replica. I think it's the better idea to do it the latter. So thousands of children who grew up with the story were able to sit on the "real" dragon.
