We were very excited to get aboard the SR33 as 2023 was its UK debut! The SR33 is the latest model to join the hugely successful SR41 and the SR36 and despite being the smallest boat in the SR line-up really impressed us with its design, space and quality. The space below deck works particularly well, making it light and sociable.
Huge thanks to the team at Clipper, for more info....

Thanks for this video. A nice looking boat. I do find myself wondering again if better use could have been made of the space taken up by the chaise longue, which a number of other boats also choose to have in this spot. Can others with more experience of these things than me comment on whether this would be likely to get much use? Would also have been nice to have a quick peek at the engine compartment, though I do know you can’t always get permission to do so.

The Chaise longe does provide the opportunity for a useful increase in headroom for getting into the Cabin below, plus does provide something comfy to be able to stretch out on, as well as seating for a few people to chat in the helm area, so all around helps imho provide a useful increase in seating area for a fairly small boat, Bavaria do seem to have managed to create a very useful Niche Model that looks to work well for a boat that is more than a weekender in my opinion, as it looks to be able to work well for extended holiday periods, trips along Canals of France, down to the Med, and with some pretty minor adjustments to the galley- I’d personally go gas hob and oven, with a portable induction hob plus microwave(I’d fit that below as handy for heating up hot drinks, ready meals etc, aided by a reasonable portable freezer) meaning you wouldn’t tend to be stuck with eating out while on holiday. When I finally have to give up Sailboat Sailing, Something bigger than this as a liveaboard, would be right up my street tbh, and this has impressed me enough to look at the larger Bavaria options. Best Wishes for a Happy New Year. Bob.👍🌟🌟🌟🙂

Nice boat & excellent video as always. Great job TMC 👏. I have to say, the cockpit seat 'fit' looks a bit random & sloppy (especially compared to British or even the French boat builders). Relieved to see your backpack doesn't have a 'Nick-Name' 🤭 ... 🇬🇧

nice boat! nice review! but just wonder if any presenter has ever been on a boat which would not "feel bigger for it's size"? :) but the catch here seems to be that extended swim platform is molded into the hull, so it is by standard extended. good that Bavaria did not go that route to actually call it like a 35. I guess the only good way to compare boats these days is by looking at the beam instead of lenght :)

Hi there, yes its a good point, beam is something that makes a huge difference and something we should talk about more (note to self!). I'm always amazed at how boats of similar lengths are packaged so differently, I have an old 42 ft Sunseeker Sport Cruiser and they manage to pack in a large sun pad, seating for about 8 in a u-shape and then down below a decent saloon and two double cabins and two heads. I keep looking at more modern boats of a similar size and apart from costing a huge amount more they don't seem to pack in as much space! The trend for 'higher' decks and more headroom below certainly enables more accommodation but often at the cost of 'seaworthyness'.....not important if you are on a berth but not so nice if you are out in some weather! We'll certainly try to reference beam more in the future and I'll let you know when I find a deceptively small boat on a walkthrough ;-) Thanks for watching

@@themarinechannel thanks for sharing your insight. I do agree that modern boats really strech more to please the consumer demand for more "home like environment". and feels like the trend few years back in cities to drive SUVs and most of those now have very limited capability offroad, and most never get ridden of the road. of course that's drivers choice, on boats you can get into bad weather unexpectedly.. "Length" is also a tricky thing. with beam there is less room for interpretation :) where you can include bowspirits, swimplatforms, guardrails, anchor etc... now at least there is ISO-8666 standard, on older boats it was really tricky as model number is just a marketing number (same boat next year can be rebranded to different number). But at same time - all this makes boats fun :) cheers!
