People think the 24hr economy means one person is going to work for the whole 24hrs no It is 3 shifts system. Morning 8hrs afternoon 8hrs evening 8hrs. I have worked with a timber firm before, we run with 3 shifts and it gave most opportunities to the youths in the community. So the 24hrs economy is a game changer and everybody should support it.
A shift system is a response to increased or excess demand for goods and services. A 24 hr economy emerges when there is an equilibrium between demand and supply or full employment in the long run. The concept itself is not a policy but impacts and outcomes of collective short run implementations of specific measures or goals that are achievable and relevant within a time frame (SMART Goals). The biggest problem with NDC is the explanation of how it can be achieved within the frame work of policies and time.

Any reasonable person should support the 24hr economy than given phones on credit. 24hr economy will create jobs for the youths. Given phones on credit is not necessary and doesn't make sense. If your not working how can you get such items on credit?

Brighter, I’ve 2 years phone contract. After that I only have to pay for the SIM Card until I decide to go for another phone. And you can’t do so unless you’re working.
You can have a credit score but with no job one would give you the credit. You need proof of income, social security number (Ghana card), and a good credit score before any institution would grant you credit. credit score determines how much interest rates you will pay. Ghana is not ready for that because we don’t have good tracking system to track people if they default on their credit or loan. Also i for see people paying money to manipulate the credit scores. What ghana needs is a change of our mindset and do away with corruption and waste in our society. Finally, i believe there are credit systems in our society already but it’s mostly for civil servants where the financial institutions deduct payments from the controller and accountant general. it’s not anything new Bawumia.
