I had never heard this song until this year, and now it's one of my favorites! Oh to go back to those happy, carefree times! I'm just happy we have RU-vid to remember our Bay City Rollers!
I was a diehard fan from the US who never got to hear this song until decades after it's release... for years I was hunting down the "Bell 45's" to complete my extensive collection.
Great to see Les playing guitar! He was an underrated musician and not just a lead singer. There is a video of him playing drums on Saturday Night too when Derek must have been ill and he was amazing!
I noticed that also. You can hear Les come in too early and got more reverb on his vocals. Not quite as fast as the single but a better tempo I think. Nice bass too from Woody. He was a great musician even back then.
I think Les is playing (miming) with the guitar as there is no way he is going to be moving around in those big clodhoppers of boots that he is wearing! and standing on a box...He must of got vertigo up there and probably had to be lifted off by a crane to get him down! Thank goodness they changed to sneakers. Improved his little back and forth dance that he would do as well.
@Anthony Terwogt it sure is *true* that he couldn't play anything ..poor old les wasn't an actual musician ..but that doesn't mean that he and the rest of the band deserved to be ripped-off and robbed of all their money by their manager Tam Peyton ...how that disgusting thieving lowlife was allowed to get away with it has always amazed me ...
