The early days were incredible, but cutting ties with Tam and getting Duncan was the best thing possible .. The three albums with this line up are classics in my book .. Ricochet is quite possibly the most underrated, under-appreciated album ever
Totally agree, such a shame more people didn't pay attention to this cracker of an album. Equally as good as any of the Top 50 albums released by other bands in 1981.
I love them always. They all looked good. Definitely hear the Queen influence. They will always be number one in my book. Expecially ERIC looks amazing as always.
Sweet......remember them ?......tried to change their musical direction in the late 70's as well . The boppers deserted them , but the people that knew got the reward . Same with the Rollers last three albums 👍
the boppers didn't desert them, they grew up. I stopped listening after they fired Leslie. Never cared for Duncan and now here listening again, um yeah...gonna go listen to ones with Les.
There were (and will always be) die-hard BCR/Roller fans...I'm one of many. The main problem with two of the albums (Elevator and Vox) was that the record company--Arista--didn't promote them; neither were even released in the UK! Ricochet wasn't given much of a chance either...radio programmers ignored it. Don't get me wrong...I loved Leslie but Duncan (and all of The Rollers) should have been given more of a fighting chance. Don't get me started on record companies/lawyers. Wish the guys had gotten ALL the hard-earned money that they deserved! Forever A Fan...rant over
Duncan Faureはなんて伸び伸びとしたボーカリストなんでしょう! 最初この歌の出だしをを聴いた時、Alanが歌っているのかと思うくらいでした。 「Tern on the radio」も勿論Duncan の歌声ですが、Alanの「Rock'n roll honeymoon」の躍動感に似ていてとても好きです。 このPVでのAlanの表情と演じている姿がとても生き生きしています。 AlanがDuncanのピアノの側に立って吹いているハーモニカもすごく素敵。
BCR was a great band. This era was super awesome. Always missed Les, Pat, and Ian, but Duncan and Alan's return was really what the band needed to progress artistically.
I am looking and listening to this with fresh eyes, and ears. The Rollers were REALLY GOOD!!! Such clever lyrics, and despite all their traumatic experiences , they created something with a sense of fun and humour!
Still one of my favorite Roller songs..bought the album when it came out..never saw this video until 2 years ago? but now I see this song & Life on the Radio are on VEVO! SWEET!!! Still love the Rollers..RIP Alan Longmuir, you're very much missed! Suzanne Neese Idaho
Ok I freakin' love this ! First I'm so glad they were able to let their actual musical talent show. They were so overwhelmed with the boy band product image. Duncan had a great voice, I actually thought it was suoetiir to Les'. This video is the sh*t too, killer sense of humor, great camera work & that WTF moment of red shoes guy hanging in the cell. Very underappreciated !
"Richochet" was first released as "The Brown Bag" album. I was one of the first to hear it at CBS headquarters in Toronto, ON, Canada. Toronto rock station, Q107 played the Brown Bag album, asking people to call in and guess who it was. People were VERY surprised by who it was!!
I see where you ate coming from but no, this is way off the mark from Cheap Trick, speaking as a 1st generation CT fan. And why is the production on this so bad?
Wow never heard or saw this video until now. I don't think it ever was released in the USA. Every different sound with Duncan in the band from Leslie as the front man for the BCR. I like it but would have to let it grow on me
Its little wonder this line up or whatever you wish to call it sunk without trace ..Total Rubbish . They were a good pop band with Mc Keown in front and Coulter writing the songs and had numerous world wide NO 1 s . I take it this rubbish belongs to Faulkner . . And Duncan who . Sound like Queen Thats the joke of the century
I love them always. They all looked good. Definitely hear the Queen influence. They will always be number one in my book. Expecially ERIC looks amazing as always.
