Even though I never ever saw BCR live in a concert, my neighbour who was a huge fan took me on a trip to Scotland to translate for her. So in 1988 we went to Dollar and met Alan Longmuir. We almost ran into him in his best friend's pub and he invited us over to get a tour of his hotel. Never met people more friendly than during that road trip through Scotland. In that pub in Dollar we made friends :-) We got invited to a party and really managed to be back a week later to attend. Some of the people took us to Gleneagles. There we were being treated to a cocktail, because the barman was one of the people from the pub in Dollar, whom we met at that party. I have been to several other countries before and since, but never ever met people so awesome, friendly, open and lovingly. We'd hitch a ride from an owner of a taxi business. He took us to Glasgow and even gave us a note for the manager of the yachtclub on Loch Lomond where he owned a boat, saying we could stay on his boat over night. He laughed so hard about me making a remark about "what a wicked game cricket was", when we passed a playing ground with a match going on... ;-) Thank's to Douglas Adams this hitch hiker through Scotland had heard about Cricket before ;-) .... some craftsmen who did not only take the longer road to show us the more beautiful landscape on the way from coast to coast but invited us for tea as well, a truck driver who played Dire Straits for us while taking us to Oban.... these awesome memories and so many many more I will cherish for ever. So now whenever I listen to Les and the BCR those pictures and sweet memories return and make me smile and cry some melancholic tears, too. A huge part of my heart I lost in Scotland. To the music, the people and the landscape. It's a braw bricht moonlicht nicht the nicht 😍😍😍
@@LeslieRichardMckeownLove wow thank you that would be fantastic, I loved BCR from the first time I heard them in 1973. Then my chance came to see them in Wrexham, I couldn't believe my eyes when les was in front of me singing he was my heartbreaker still is. You guys are just so good. Thank you for BCR, keep on dancing. One song I fell in love with when I was 16 was please stay by les mkeowan. Thank you for the memories. ❤️❤️❤️

💥hi folks,ich liebe BCR seit ich ein Teenie war 1977,ich war ein einzigesmal im Konzert,das Licht ging aus,sie sprangen auf die Buehne und noch bevor LES ein Wort sang....fiel ich in Ohnmacht.Ich konnte dann nur noch aus dem Rotes Kreuz Raum die Musik hoeren,und bei Saturday Night brach ein Ohrenbetaeubender Orkan los,von gekreische und trampeln das die Halle bebte.Ich hatte gehofft irgendwann mal auf die Reise zu gehn und ein Konzert zu besuchen...Aber ich hab was dazu gelernt,nicht aufschieben,sondern einfzch machen.Bin sehr traurig,ich vermisse Les sehr.Aber die Jungs sind wirklich gut,danke fuer den schoenen Zusammenschnitt🎼🤗
