Tap water and bottled is 100% water, but you may have noticed that beer taste and looks different and contains alcohol? So once again: most beer contains about 95% water, and the remaining is alcohol and other ingredients. Beer, in short, is mostly water but the water is barely noticeable because of the flavor of other ingredients.

In Germany Beer was used to be food for a very long time. In Bayern every person that works in a Bar (Kneipe) has the right to get the Haustrunk. That means you get 18 litres per week for free and another 18 litres cheaper than everybody else. Back in the Day most employees drank more than 18 litres a week.
