They gave Bayern Munich such a hard time in this tournament. Now Bayern Munich are enjoying their Club WC glory while Bolton are playing against the likes of Port Vale and Cambridge United in League Two. Sad but true. 😞
I'm a massive Bayern fan, but I loved it when lesser, 'underdog' teams, such as Aberdeen, Bolton and Norwich, gave it a right good go against them in European ties
@@mrsiborg recently Liverpool knock out by Athelico Madrid in Round of 16, the last time Athelico Madrid beaten by English team was 2008, UEFA Cup round of 32 beaten by Bolton
Lampard and Gerard never looked a great pairing (individually superb mind you) I always wonder how much more fluid the England midfield might have been with Nolan as the other half of our midfield two at that time.
Bolton deserved a draw. Football isn't about possesion or good your goals are, it's about how many you score. Bayern scored two, Bolton scored two. Therefore, they both deserve a point.
All for nothing unfortunatelly, we could've won the uefa cup if we played a proper team in Lisbon!! We rested our players for the wigan game, and lost anyway when they had 10 men!! If wed've won we could've had a morale booste for that game, pratt!!!
@weatherallc05 trust me kroos is a brilliant player. if you saw him play while he was on loan at leverkusen you would realise how good kroos is. at bayern its difficult to see what position is his best. for bayern he plays as a number 10 but for germany he plays a centre mid and yes gomez is a beast only messi scored more than him in the champions league but he does still miss a few sitters from time to time and finally i think robben is the 3rd best player in the world after messi and ronaldo.
Yeah, you need to do some research. Bayern spent like 50m in the summer of 2007. That was a hell of a lot of money 10 years ago, especially for a German team. No history? Back in 2007-08 Bayern had won 4 European Cup/Champions Leagues and 21 Bundesliga titles.
@daniel0164 That's probably because a ticket to go and watch bolton is more expensive than a ticket to watch united. Plus Boltons stadium was moved outside of the town centre fucking miles away and most fans dont go as a boycott . Bolton need a reality check before the fans return to support the team like the days of old. 40 quid for a shirt? What exactly have Bolton done to merit that price when uniteds are the same and they're multiple champions. Doesn't make sense does it.
