You did an excellent job. I just pick me up either the 2650 or the 2750 (I think). It has no ID plate on the stern. I plan to do the same thing you’ve done. I figure a 3 to 5 year project. I wished I could add a picture here. I hope mine turns out as well as your boat. You did a fantastic job!
Sounds like you don’t have a clue. People start from the inside out because it’s how you make sure the stringers are good before you dump several grand into freshening the interior or getting it running.
I have the same 1986 Bayliner Sierra can you help me please.. its in running condition but I have to dewinterize it. Interior needs new look like your boat. How much will you charge im willing to drop it of im in brantford Ontario 🇨🇦 cheers I don't know where to start and how much it'll cost, its my first boat.
Awesome job! I have a 1991 Bayliner Cierra Sunbridge. I have to ask where did you find your switches. My boat horn switch is not working all the time. Any info would be appreciated.
i can tell you exactly and i don't even know the dude. it did cost many cuts and bruises, an unholy amount of cursing, plenty of brain cells, a couple strong but sensitive hands, a strong mind and many tears when paying for the necessary.
Hi,I need some advice please,I going to buy a bayliner boat just like urs, and it really have some hard work to get done, but that doesn’t matter, what matters is that people keep telling me that indoor motor is not really good to have on a boat,so seems to me that you look like a professional that knows about this Cain of boat, and to be honest they really nice boat, so is true that indoor motor give a lot of problems?
I used glassfibre beneath the dash to fix the cracks. Topside I just sanded, used some spackel to the cracks and finally painted. I found a good set of used gauges so I just replaced them together with blue LED bulbs.
@@mhi4299 thank you so much for the quick response. My family and I are very inspired by your interior restoration. I hope mine turns out like yours :)
Hi, I did the portholes from plexiglass since the originals were such bad condition. Hatch I luckily just resealed and it works fine. You might still find them from pompanettellc.com/product-category/portlights/
@@mhi4299 i have bits and pieces that have been broken off by the previous owner so i can't avoid to replace at some point. thanks alot for the link. the interior was unused (partly still in original plastic packaging lol) but the upholstery on deck was damaged. 320 engine hours, old dude only used it as day cruiser. i haven't dared to try the plumbing yet, i fear the tubes, pumps and fittings are not gonna hold up due to age. :)
Hello, I’m just north of Barrie Ontario. And we bought a 89 Bayliner 2655 Ciera in decent shape. It needs the back bench done, replacement covers on the dash instruments and a bunch of port hole window repairs. Can you let me know where you sourced these parts please?
I’m trying to wire an electric fuel pump and lights to the main fuse box by the control box in front. Anyone have luck wiring stuff from the engine block to the front control box?
Very impressive. I have done similar project last year. A lot of time spend on the boat. Good job. What is the black panel material you use for the cabinets/seats?
Hi could you please tell me what you used to line the vberth walls? I really don't care for the look of hull blanket but IDK what else to use that will work with the curves. Thank you! Looks awesome.
You mean the grey fabric? It's just a mold free fabric which really doesn't stretch much. The white fabric which I used on the ceiling is much more flexible and stretches in all directions. Both fabrics are from local shop here in Finland.
@@daverohn383 after 2 seasons there are no durability issues but for sure the material gets stains pretty easy. Better to cover everything if you are working with anything containing oil.
@@daverohn383 for sure you have to be carefull but so far I`ve managed to keep it clean and it can be cleaned with water. I donno about using any cleaning chemicals.
One question for I Don't know anything about boat but I know a good Deal someone is selling a 1989 Bayliner for $500 do you think its worth it for me to take on a project like that the boat is in a nice shape it does need some TLC what do u think
