This is a male chart (DOB: 07 Aug 1999 16.55) After plotting the bazi chart: Year: Earth Rabbit (Ji Mao) Month: Metal Goat (Xin Wei) Day: Metal Rabbit (Xin Mao) Hour: Fire Monkey (Bing Shen) Please correct me in my analysis (I think this is a quite complex chart) 1. Based on Season the DM is weak (metal on summer/fire season is dead). However, this DM is in Resource Month. 2. Looking at the rooting, there’s no other xin metal element in the branch only xin metal on month stem (based on jy: stem doesn’t have much influence) 3. Penetrating Qi: has Geng Metal on hour (Monkey and it is the main Qi) 4. Sitting on Resources: has resouces on Month (Goat main Qi: Ji Earth) and Year Stem. This Resource element is also in a Good Quality (in summer, earth is strong) however, although earth is strong and good in quality, it takes a long time for earth to produce metal.. secondly the Wei Earth is dry which make it harder to produce metal. 5. If you look at the date… 7 August is the last day for Summer, so the fire Qi should be disappearing and the Metal Qi (Autumn) start to grow. So How do you see this chart DM strength? Which one to know the favorable elements for this DM? My Hypothesis that this still can be included as strong DM (maybe moderately strong DM) so it’s favorable for Wood, Water, and Fire Elements. If this is true then the chart must be exceptional because it has a Superior Quality of Wood (Half Triangular Combi from Rabbit and Goat) which also a wealth element (Goat here also the Wealth storage for the DM?). Superior Quality of Fire (Since it is in summer season). Good Quality of Earth as the resources element. And lastly although quite weak the water element is on the growing branch of Monkey. Plus point: the Ren Water is A Useful God for Xin Metal. I really need your feedback. Thank you so much.
Hi William, Thanks for your queries: 1. The Daymaster's element is in void> 2. Daymaster is not rooted. 3. Penetrating Qi is not effective for metal. 4. It is not sitting on Resource. It is sitting on Wealth. You may have some point about the nexus between the end of summer and early autumn as well as some strong resource element. I would rather consider this a relatively weak chart. There is a "Hai"-Mao-Wei combination. The "Hai" being the Ren Water in the Hour Hidden Stem.
Ren Water is the Scholar star for this strong but unrooted Jia Wood. She has just gone thru her Ren Water luck pillar from 25-35. Now, in her Gui Water luck pillar. A chart that is quite susceptible to external forces. She may not repeat her academic performance after this (nor future). She does have many GuiRens (Female godmothers) supporting her.

So this is a weak DM with strong wealth element, therefore the favorable element would be Metal (Companion) and Earth (Resources). Looking at the Day Pillar (Xin Mao) this DM clash with its favorable branch (You). How to interpret that? And what do you mean by Day Master element in Void?
Any 'automatic' assignment of whether elements are favourable or unfavourable based solely on the strength of the DM is not the best way to analyse. Earth is strong enough not to be further favourable. A Mao and You clash between Month and Day can denote marital clash from someone at work. Peach blossom clashes are emotional and a sense of violation can be observed. The element of the DM is out of season, and thus, void.

A Ding Fire born in winter is weak. Moreover, being born in the morning when the sun is upon the rising horizon (Bing in Year), makes the shine of the Ding even dimmer. A sense of insecurity and competitiveness will shape the behavior. You may think it is strong because of the support of wood, which is crucial - sitting on support and Jia supports from the Hour. IMHO, a weak DM with good support (strong guardian angels).
