when I was about 13 years of age I purchased a cassette tape from a KMART in Indiana...it was some sort of blues compilation...had every one from John Lee Hooker and Howlin' Wolf to the Yardbirds featuring Jeff Beck and a live rendition of Stormy Monday by The Cream...also had a track called SONNY'S BLUES by Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee...that was my introduction to blues harp...and your harmonica playing always brings back my fond memories of that time listening to that cassette in my teenage bedroom...
I enjoyed your tone on your harp. I like those meaningful simple riffs that are well played. Over the years I’ve had to learn that less is more in certain areas. Also, the backing track has a great rhythm to it. Sometimes incorporating rhythm as a means to back up the band helps me out a lot. Killer use of the high end Thanks for posting
Barbara, came across your youtube because they showed the one and only Guy Clark who is such fine songwriter. YOUR fine musician as well and incredibly beautiful with such a contagious aura.
dont know about you but Bb is my key of choice hohner marine band cross over perfect for doing you bayou blues ill have to upload a vid been playing for a year .where I go the harp goes .I get stuck in traffic out comes the harp certainly makes other drivers look .hahaha. brian london
Eu acho que é mais fácil vc se adaptar com a marine band. quando tiver dinheiro, compra a pro harp. eu tenho, é tipo a blues harp (mais robusta) com uma pegada um pouco mais rapida.
Perhaps is not on time... the pro harp can let you go "bluesy", but you will have a positive surprise when you try some rock. The Marine Band 1896 Classic (the cheapest of M.B.) is made for Blues, but you can extend`t to other kinds of music, good luck on that!
Well, you're off to a good start, lots of heart, lots of soul. Still getting lost at times there ... and playing maybe too hard..... cultivate gentle breath force to get sweeter chords and sound deeper tone not to mention your harps will last longer
