this is a great tutorial!! How do you get sequence morphs/ edit them? I looked in the settings and there was no key bind. Am I pushing the wrong buttons?
Are you using this technique, though, IMO whatever Etho shown is a unique style of setting up morphs. It’s not the best way, though, but still an interesting approach 😏
Ethobot no problem with that, just saying that I’m a bit shocked by this discovery, I wouldn’t think that someone would animate this way, but it’s not in a bad way, as I said earlier, in a different way 🙂

Using sequencer for this...? I mean it gives you the half-ticks I guess, which is something I never thought of, but wouldn't it be a lot easier to use Aperture's viewer/recording editor to get the timings right? Seems much more intuitive to me. Is there a particular reason you prefer the sequencers?
That's just how Etho is doing it, however, I did approve this method because at the moment there is still no tutorial about editing actions with camera editor. Once there will be a tutorial about that, we'll try to make another practical tutorial, but using recording editor. It's a really clever observation about half-ticks, not gonna lie! 😱 But yeah, at the moment, sequencer + camera editor + actor syncing is unusable, I might try fixing it, but it's a quite hard thing to do.
Mmm I can kinda see that. I think it can end up causing problems tho. I prefer to just use animated poses in the camera editor and forgo sequencers altogether, unless I have an action I intend to have a character repeating over and over or an animation within a body part. Sequencers don't work well with the camera editor/actor syncing but if it's normal animations it's fairly workable. Though obviously still not ideal. I just worry that encouraging the use of sequencer in this sort of scenario will set the wrong habits in people. The longer a scene goes, the worse a sequencer is for those sorts of scenes. It'll become more and more complicated to set up everything so it flows well. I dunno, just my two cents.
You have a point, but what's done is done. I know you're striving to perfection, but nothing in this world is perfect. Neither are my mods or my tutorial videos. I try my best whenever I can, but it's not always comes out the best way. 🤷♂️ That reminds me a lot of Sanchan and HartyMcSmarty's OBJ tutorials which use the old way of adding OBJ models, which was a big headache back then. I had to remake the OBJ tutorial in order to sort that out. 😅
It’s not possible at the moment, but if you know the time at which you want your actor to appear, you can record it from the start, and then add the delay by using /record prolong 0 [pre_delay]
