Nice bit of history. of course the Dutch "LaserDisc" format became the defacto standard for videodiscs from the 80's onward.

Interessant, ik heb dit type opslag media even gemist, maar er is ook zoveel uitevonden wat nooit isgrootschalig is doorgebroken omdat een andere techniek dan had gewonnen.

First time i've seen these titles, by 1978 they were using the weird morphing ones.

Wow!!! It would be incredibly informative if we could see that dutch show on (what it looks like) a prototype of magnavox videodisc, later called laserdisc

Footage on screen looks like the BBC Trade Test Colour Film 'Ride The White Horses' which has a great music score by Jeff Wayne

Blimey i never knew laserdisc had a prototype developed a year before i was born! As for the other format that didn't take off probably due to only playing for 10 minutes at a time, some hipster after vintage formats that didn't make it would rip your arms and legs off for that!!!!

I was not yet five when this came out. Of the two Raymonds, I really did not like Moore's voice because it scared me especially at that age. Baxter I didn't encounter until I was about seven or eight and his voice didn't bother me. I remember Tomorrow's World and that iconic tune - I have a good memory for tunes. My late father's name was Raymond!
