Nice one! i saw the mondays in stoke, back in 1992, and the carpets in oldham, the same year, cant believe its 20 yrs ago!!...what with seeing the roses this year and the charlatans, (like 1990 all again).. madchester!!!!!!
Heh, I'm quite sure Shaun "fell asleep" on that beach in Spain! Actually, when you consider the copious amounts of drugs that have traveled through that man's body, he looks surprisingly well.
Awe, good ole Bill.. Hope he's keeping as well as his Bees. (Bless) But aye, ♡ Rowetta & such an amazing singer.. (on that Shamen track sounds bl**dy brilliant too) ♡
I know this was a few years ago but just watching them lot on bbc breakfast made me think... fuck me!! How time flies, only seems like a few years ago that i was buying tart tart on 12".... it was 30 years ago and im only 45
Its hard here to see craig talking about putting his kids to bed....then a few years later to not be a dad anymore......im sure he had his reasons.....tinnitus......but RIP CRAIG.....
I remember the first City's in The Park concert (at Heaton Park Manchester) The Happy Mondays were playing, and when they came on, Shaun was that smashed out of his head, for the first 20mins, he sang with his back towards the audience, didn't realise a thing.... 🤣🤣
For a group that took pride in their rebellious image, there are no bigger media establishment whores than the Happy Mondays. Rowetta on X-Factor, and Shaun and Bez whoring themselves out to celebrity this, that or the other.
@@cockshield fair point - Shaun & Bez were rummaging in antique shops on celebrity bargain hunt a few years back if I remember. Rock'n'roll is all business anyway - just look at all the reforming of bands that split up due to poor album sales from even a decade ago. I'm struggling to think of more than two Britpop bands which have not reformed - even Dodgy are at it !
@@cockshield Best known means nothing. The Mondays will always be THE definite Madchester band. They kicked the whole thing off. The best Inspirals song is Keep The Circle...
'Do you bring him his pipe and slippers?' Ugh!! I hate women who ask stupid things like that of other women, and in this case it's even worse. No wonder Rowetta looked pissed off.
What's wrong with Clint? I normally like the guy but why is he so bitter towards Tom? Most people only know the Inspiral Carpets with the voice of Tom Hingley, i.e. when they made it big, saying that Stephen Holt is the original lineup is a bit of a piss take really because that's like saying Queen with Tim Staffell is the original lineup minus Freddie! Bollocks- everyone knows Stephen Holt is dogshit and it doesn't work because no one enjoys the gigs as much now.
