The closest black hole is 1,560 light years away from us (9,170,655,577,200,000 miles or 14,758,744,095,234,570 kilometers) and the fastest black hole is 10% the speed of light (1,062,544 mph or 1,710,000 kph) This means that even if a black hole was going towards us, it'd take 15,600 years to get to Earth. I was quite the nerd a year ago.
@postaldude5533the effects of a black hole are yet unknown but it's theorised that a black hole could rip you apart and basically turn you into spaghetti.
a good ending would be “Our broadcast has been hijacked by a group of unknown hackers. All information said is confirmed a hoax, and is not true. Authorities are currently working on finding out the identity of the group. We sincerely apologize for any panic caused by this fake announcement. - BBC
One of the most chilling things that could happen to a living being in this universe. Somehow the God Save The Queen at the end was scary, but also humorous at the same time.
A word of advice: these are a lot more believable if the dialogue actually comes from a government official. It has a very casual tone and there’s very little formality and it’s hard to take it seriously if it doesn’t sound like it’s real. It’s an interesting concept tho and I think it’s still better made than some EAS scenario vids
While this is very scary to think about, the chances of earth getting sucked into a black hole is pretty much 0% even if a black hole entered our solar system, we would create a new orbit around the black hole, if it’s not extremely big. So if your scared that this will happen, DONT FEAR the black hole (if it’s tiny) will sustain a new orbit, you would be totally fine if we orbited one(except for the fact that you’ll freeze to death IF it replaced our sun.)
@@imposteramogus2167 Exactly, black holes aren't that dangerous. Unless, however, it's a supermassive black hole. Then pray for your life while you can because it's game over.
True. Onlu issue is that, if it is tiny, and we’ll sustain a new orbit around it, funny issue is that, since black holes amit ni loght (its kinda the thjng its known for) if it ejects us from the solar system, we will all freeze to death. Then again, i suppose thats less scary then beung sucked to death
not-so-fun fact: a scenario like this could be possible as the universe and outer space is unpredictable, so we could be next to a black hole tens of thousands of times bigger than TON-618 and we wouldn’t even know. there wouldn’t even be an announcement or warning for it. we’d be gone. just like that. there wouldn’t be a trace of humanity left.
@@bismuthdistrict TON-618 is BALLS big. if there was anything larger it’d probably be undetected until side effects of having a gargantuan black hole next to your solar system start to become visible. either that or im just being unrealistic. idk.
It’s not possible thought unless it’s a supermassive black hole because we would just adjust to its presence in our solar system and our orbit would just change. We’d be fine as long as we don’t have it replace the sun and freeze to death. :)
it looks like it teleported or appeared out of nowhere, NASA and other agencies are looking to the sky 24/7, if a circle appeared out of nowhere they could've seen it coming. You say the gravitational pull is strong so we would've noticed it way before. But the distance at which we're from them could also be super huge, so huge it outranges its gravitational pull.
@@nono-sg7zvThat’s literally at the center of our galaxy. If it “went rouge” the galaxy would just move with it. We are literally orbiting Sagittarius A*.
It’s not unless it’s (extremely likely to be) a supermassive black hole. If not then we would just adjust and have it be a part of our orbit system. Only way it could be bad if it replaced the suns orbit for us
if Saggitarius A* went rogue, we would be sucked in and die a painless death, if, i dunno, the Centauri's went black hole we would be spaghettified and be ripped apart.
Don't joke, 259 babies are born a minute. A friend of mine was born the minute the Lockerbie bombing occured which claimed the lives of.....259 people.
"the black hole will head towards earth. It will suck the entire of this planet.Nobody will be able to run or escape from it." the cameraman that will record it:YOU ESCAPED
The chilling part about this is not dying from a black hole. It won't happen. But the fact that everything we have done, every part of our history. Every inch of us, gone. (except for voyager1-2 and other probes)
A good ending is like Sorry this is fake news, we have found out that this is actually fake and it’s actually a solar eclipse. You may remain doing every activity you were. Thank you for listening to us throughout this broadcast. -BBC
its so weird to think of how meaningless and useless humans are in comparison to space. we amount to absolutely nothing on a universal scale, less than nothing really. we live through our lives, fall in love, face loss, share unforgettable moments with one another, and its all meaningless. the universe just laughs and kills us. in fact, it could all end now. we just don't know, because the universe happens at such a large scale that we useless beings can't even fathom how much power it holds. i hate this place😭😭
@@Bestpotassium The name of the Deity -- any Deity: G*d, Allah, Vishnu -- should, like any other proper name, start with a capital letter. There's been a trend, especially among atheists, to write small-G "god," rubbing our faces in their disbelief. But the BBC, being the state broadcasting network of an officially Christian country, would almost certainly write "G*d." (Pardon my censorship, in deference to other religious sensibilities.)
love how in every single one of these scenarios, the BBC just ends it off blasting the national anthem like “ Oh yeah your gonna die hearing the scrams of the people around you as they feel there very being start to tear apart but it’s England so the national anthem will be playing “
