Great memory. I'm from Portugal and my city, Aveiro, hosted two matches (I was in the stadium for the amazing Netherlands-Czech Rep. 2-3). It's not far from Porto, by the way. I remember the atmosphere, the simpler life and this great Euro Championship. Back in the day I was sad for the final result, but I enjoyed those 3 weeks. Great times. Btw, today I'm happy Greece won it, because they deserved it and that fact gave a little bit more off magic to the Euro'2004. Also funny to see these guys talking a lot about Portugal and basically mocking the greeks. That's funny af, really. I miss those times. Thanks for the upload.
Portugal 100% blew a massive opportunity. Many of the elite sides faltered, and you would think Portugal learned lessons from the opening match against Greece. Conceded a very soft goal to lose the final. None of the big hitters turned up in the final.

U do know most of the names in this portugal lineup had retired after the 2006 wc right. Undoubtedly the golden generation was great and cr7 was a big part of this team as well. But for the vast majority of cr7's international career the Portuguese squad was very weak. Lionel messi has always had talented players with him for Argentina. And they've bailed him out in most major tournaments.

@uromi-owuopukeme6081 Deco and simao barely played any games for Portugal after 2008, Quaresma was never a consistently good player nor did he play many games for Portugal until 2016. Coentrao didnt play for portugal regularly either. It's embarrassing that ur even mentioning Miereles and Alves as world class players. In fact ur just proving my point. And lastly nani was decent but he was never a great player. He would occasionally score goals but overall wasn't a prolific goalscorer or consistent playmaker.
