BBC Nine O'Clock News - 90's ident mock/tribute

I love television presentation and news graphics from the 90's. I especially appreciated the package BBC News used from 1993 to 1999 - both the visual and musical aspects of it. So here is my tribute to the Nine O'Clock News of that era. The musical score is George Fenton's original, but I made a re-interpretation of the visual design. I also chose to simplify the coat of arms of the BBC, so this is my interpretation of the blazon. Almost. I do know that it's supposed to be seven stars or 'estoiles' in the shield, but somehow I managed to count them to eight... And the lion isn't grasping the normal thunderbolt, but instead a version of the antenna seen in an even earlier BBC News ident from 1990. The thunderbolt represents broadcasting, so that was fair enough, I thought.
Please give me your comments and thoughts!
P.S. I do know that I managed to write SPEAKE by mistake. I’m pretending it’s just some archaic spelling form... ;-D

After hearing this tune, I expect to hear something among the lines of this. (This is just fictitious, but it fits the early 90s vibes of the theme tune pretty well.) "Good evening. Five men have been arrested in connection with a supposed bombing outside of a fish and chip shop in Arndale just two days ago. The men who cannot be identified for reasons unknown will be taken into court on Monday. Police have questioned the custody of the two men behind the bombing. Our chief news correspondent Jane Newton has more on the story."

Excellent Modern Design that Preserve the History. BBC Coat of Arms should be brought back to television screen - truly British.

I really like this. The only criticism I have is that the camera should pan away from the globe when the UK is in the centre of the frame. Just little details like this make the original so great! But this is a superb effort, well done.

I agree! That was actually my thought too, but then somehow I managed to render the whole thing and was fooled by the fact that UK is visible in the beginning, just before the pan... Well well, next time... :-D
