I remember watching both parts of that Rod Stewart concert with my mum, and both of us laughing hysterically at the rock star poses of him and his band. It's a bit sad to think that nowadays I would probably take it a lot more seriously.
@@archangelmusic13 The "hurricane" hit many more places than South Hampton. It took me 4 and a half hours to get home, travelling at 0330 hours, in the Chilterns, a journey that normally take 25 minutes.
@@archangelmusic13 I know. From 1974 until 1990 I worked as a professional DJ, travelling the country. I saw the weather from the front row. And we used to get proper winters then, with snow, ice, blizzards, and idiots that needed rescuing. These days I leave everything but serious accidents. The responsibilities of a paramedic, now, mean I don't have many choices in an emergency.
