BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour with Dr Laura Waters - Equalism Vs Feminism 

Never any mention of male oppression on woman's hour OR from men in general either. The irony of the sexism on display in current day-to-day day life is stunning.

You can't speak effectively about equalism if you don't address discrimination against men such as in child custody, less state spending in male health care, or unequal court treatment of men in comparison to women for the same accusatioans.

I've been a fan of woman's hour since 1979, but unfortunately due to the general themes of today's programs , I feel it's outdated, and how can the BBC justify a daily program targeted at just one sex. It is beyond me. It's time to replace it with an all encompassing program to reflect general issues in today's society.

Why does she keep saying her personal experience in her university?

Laura makes a better case in my mind. Spoke more sense I thought.

I actually can't listen to Radio 4 anymore. I used to love it and the various shows, but its become very one sided now with so many shows dedicated just for women. We have women's hour, weekend women's hour and now late night women's hour. Personally I wouldn't want shows dedicated to a single gender, race etc .. be it men, women etc. But if they do have to have one show then why have others taking over the station. Wasn't women's hour every day enough?

You’ve invited a feminist and an equalist from two different backgrounds and departments. Instead of discussing their real points, each one was describing her experience within her own department. It was a waste of my time listening to them.

I'd say equalism sounds stupid. Go with egalitarianism. Just my opinion.

I love woman's hour but why dose RU-vid always turn me to anti feminism. when I am on it.

I feel like the equalist women is only speaking from her own experience and the feminist identifying women is looking at the bigger picture.

Cant jenny murray et al see how ironic it is that they have this show where they talk about women gaining equality and womens rights and equal pay and everything to do with women having a voice and being on a level par with men. But the title of the program is Woman's Hour. LIke the men have humoured them and given the precious little darlings a whole hour on the radio all to themselves!! How generous of these alpha males.

Should be named Whinge hour. or men's comedy hour. Sometimes the tears just run down my cheeks so so funny, then at the end of time you are still a women. so enjoy what you are, stop perpetual whinging, some of you women are delightful, but the feminist. what ever you do or say you will always be a WOMAN. briddy.
