I enjoy Saturday night theater. They made it worth staying home for. You could clean up the kitchen, then relax and pick up your busy work. Even darning is better with the radio.
What a brilliant drama. thanks so much for airing these golden oldies.. so much better than the TV.. I've even hooked my 16 year old "bad boy" grandson to the joys of radio drama's 😊. thanks again. kind regards Dave 👍
❤ that is so lovely ❤ i would have loved to listen to these radio shows with my grandoarents..always remenber grandad in his room with the wireless after dinner ..never stopped to listen..i was too small but really wish i had now ❤
Good play but several times ends left dangling. What happened to to Bowles? Harry Anderson? Did they "push Harkness into the hole he was digging"? I am so-o-o-o confused!
I am always disappointed with the ending...I want to see what happened when they confronted the bad guy, but they leave that to the imagination. Many people like that, I suppose. But another thing...that pompous old fool talked to the female PhD like he does, "You must get that report, young lady!" Here in Yankland women started replying, "Yes sir, old man!" That started a change in how the old men addressed women. And it was about time.
Strange play. The drama and the story line get lost amid the technical jargon. In fact the play could have been produced by the Ministry of Defence as part of a training programme. It has the stilted quality and cardboard characters you'd expect in such a programme.
