@@powernomics4716 He talking about how great Jimi Hendrix on the electric guitar. This what Bootsy was... one of the greatest bassist in the world also he did have Hendrix flavor of style and dress. So Powernomics was correct. With that psychedelic headband , glasses and played the national anthem on the bass like Jimi did on the guitar.
@@Kemet3.0 As far as being an innovative, creative bass genius goes, Larry Graham was both the Jimi Hendrix and the Chuck Berry of bass guitar. He created slap bass funk, of which all subsequent bass players must now master before going any further in the bass player business.
@@msaintpc must master? 🤣🤣🤣. I know a million amazing Bass players who never bothered with slap and pop. You say it like it's a requirement to get anywhere with bass playing.
10 minutes to learn the basic Funk formula. A few years to learn how to groove. A lifetime to master it. Don't let Bootsy fool you. To get the feel, groove, rhythm and smoothness is going to take years of hard work and practice.
I've played (essentially youTube and tabs taught) for well over a decade and am just starting to get comfortable improvising in the groove. And I've known about this video almost since day one.
For sure, if anything just find a drum loop on RU-vid and play to that. Also playing at different tempos or styles can immediately open a person's perspective and confidence up.
