BBC TV Licensing Propaganda in Coronation Street

Jack and Vera Duckworth get targeted by BBC TV Licensing using a fake tv detector van and a pair of gestapo goons. This video provides one example of how BBC TV Licensing have paid ITV to produce propaganda storylines based around being caught without a TV Licence. If you are in any doubt about whether this video is an example of paid TVL propaganda, simply look at how the story unfolds. It contains everything that the BBC wants you to think about the consequences of not having a TV Licence.
Here is the message that BBC TV Licensing wants to get across in this storyline:
If you forget to re-new your TV Licence then you are a despicable criminal who has committed a heinous offence by defrauding her Majesty's most highly valued public service.
If you don't have a TV Licence, you will almost certainly go to prison.
Life is boring without a TV, 99.9999999% of people watch TV, and those who claim they don't are automatically deemed to be liars.
An extremely powerful and effective "TV detector van" will be deployed to catch you in the act of watching TV, literally as soon as you turn it on, and this evidence will be used in court to convict you.
At any time, day or night, gestapo goons have the authority to barge into your home to gather evidence to use against you.
You'll be up in front of a magistrate within a matter of days.
If you don't have a TV Licence then all of your family, friends and neighbours will look upon you with disgust and consider you to be nothing more than a stupid, drunken, sponger who deserves to be hanged.
BBC TV Licensing have done you a massive favour even after they've stiffed you for £150 and made your life a misery.
This particular storyline ran for a few episodes but I have condensed it all into one short video for your convenience. I have provided links to the full episodes below. As you'll see, this TV Licensing storyline was shown in the same episodes as a storyline about thieves who stole some lead from a church roof. This was obviously done in order to ensure that viewers would associate TV Licence "evaders" with the likes of thieves who steal from a place of worship... a very simple but clever way to condition people's minds! You'll need to watch the full episodes to see the subtle way in which they do this. One good thing they do reveal in this storyline is that under no circumstances should you give your name to TV Licensing. Every piece of info you give them will only be used as a stick to beat you over the head with. So NEVER respond to their letters, NEVER talk to them at the door, and NEVER EVER let them into your home.
In conclusion then, we can safely say that TV Licensing adverts are not reserved only for the commercial breaks. They can be included in soap drama storylines on all TV channels to enable BBC TV Licensing to get their fear-mongering across more effectively.

Permission, paying £150 for permission to access a signal using electronic equipment, so it's not a license, it's permission, argue that in court, WIN EVERY TIME

John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God

"Jack and Vera Duckworth get targeted by BBC TV Licensing using a fake tv detector van" Detector Vans were real - my uncle drove one for the Post Office, and operated the detector equipment in the back. He also had to be a witness occasionally, if a case went to court. The idea that the BBC paid ITV/Granada to incorporate this storyline is just absolute nonsense, of the swivel-eyed conspiracy theorist variety.
@badwolf66

It's not a conspiracy, My dad told me, him and his friend looked inside one of those vans and it was empty nothing in them.
@boblowes
@boblowes Год назад
@@badwolf66 They're empty now, as the equipment has been long-since stripped out since we went to digital broadcasting. But in the analogue days, they very much did have equipment in - as I said, my uncle used to drive one for the Post Office, and had to provide evidence if a prosecution went to court. It's all thanks to the way analogue radio/television receivers work. A receiving set will always also leak a small amount of signal. If you have sensitive enough equipment, you can pick up that leak, which will tell you what frequency the receiver is tuned to. And from the strength of the signal, you can get a direction. Guess who had television receiving equipment sensitive enough to pick up those sorts of leaks and shove it in the back of a van? Yeah, that'd be the same people who had the equipment to convert a van into a mobile broadcasting studio, and operate a chain of transmitters and receivers from one end of the UK to the other. Like I said, conspiracy theorist bullshit.

@@dommidavros2211 They absolutely were real. All analogue broadcasting receivers (AM/FM/Shortwave radios, pre-digital TV) leak a small amount of signal as they receive it. The small amount leaked isn't powerful enough to interfere with the receiver in the set, but is powerful enough to be detected in you have very powerful, directional receivers sat outside in a truck. Having built a broadcasting infrastructure that spanned the length and breadth of the country, the BBC were chock full of engineers who had the talent to build such equipment. It was real. It was an actual thing.

If this is propaganda, it's useful propaganda to educate people on the need to have a TV licence. When I lived the UK in the 1970s, it was patiently explained to me by Brit workmates that it was one's civic duty to have a TV licence if one had a TV. Sounds like since then Brits' standard of civic duty might have drastically declined. Sad.
