This is probably the most biased debate I've ever seen. The host made sure to shut down Abdullah every time he tried to get his points across and accused him of "mansplaining" and "shouting". I don’t believe I said I did or didn’t have a problem with THOSE things you just mentioned. What I said was that if adults want to gamble, it is there choice. I didn’t say it was a good thing for them to do so, rather just like drinking alcohol, smoking, etc., these are things that adults should have the freedom to do if they choose. Companies, casinos, etc. have the right to set up shop in poor neighborhoods, just like the people in those neighborhoods have the right to NOT go in them to gamble. As far as advertising goes, there is a very fine line on what can be considered as “advertising to kids”. Gambling should not be banned, it is a pastime that millions enjoy and do not chase losses or chase wins, it's a leisure activity. But the adverts on TV should be removed purely for advertising "huge wins" and glamming it up to make it look like easy big wins are certain. The earliest they should be on TV is AFTER 11pm and without the glam. The bullshit they do now with "gamble responsibly, set a limit" infuriates me because they are only saying that because of backlash over those glam ads. THAT is who should be held responsible for many addicts, mostly under 25's, with false advertising of "huge wins £5,000+".

Since human rights would be based on human opinion, then what makes one person's opinion of what human rights should be better than any other person's? Voting doesn't get us anywhere closer to the truth. At the end of the day whatever laws are decided by the country, are laws people would be forced to follow. The questions asked in this show are so loaded, and biased. They're trying to get a certain response, and if it gets a different response the person gets cut off, interrupted and mocked. Not to mention there are 30 articles of human rights. If a religion or culture recognized some, but denied others, would they have ignored human rights or not? Basically the show is saying, everyone must accept all human rights, and if they deny even 1, then they've denied them all. The whole gambling thing was really wild. If something is harmful to society doesn't it make sense to get rid of it? Instead people want to regulate it, because it brings enjoyment. This is what happens when you have no basis for your own beliefs. Anything and everything is up for debate, and you never reach a real conclusion. Just a temporary one via majority.

For example, imagine being born in a century where there are barely any openly practicing muslims left in the world. Who can claim 1450 years ago that the universe is expanding? والسماء بنينها بايد و إنا لموسعون o " And the heaven We built it with power, and indeed, We are the expander " (And We it is Who make the vast extent, thereof ) (Qur'an, 51:47) it has been expanding from the moment of its creation not when it described in Qur'an. Until 1931, physicist Albert Einstein believed that the universe was static. American astronomer Edwin Hubble showed Einstein his observations of redshift in the light emitted by far away nebulae - galaxies. When Edwin Hubble explained that the universe is expanding, Einstein called his view of the cosmological constant the "greatest blunder." It is clearly mentioned by Almighty Allah as one of His signs in above verse. It's study , research and explanation was left for researchers in future. It is not a " new scientific discovery of all time" as they claim. It is not " the greatest discovery of 20th century", as Stephen Hawking said. Almighty Allah says: " Should He not know what He created? And He is the Subtile, the Aware." (Qur'an,67:14) The knowledge of scientists is limited and it is not justified to reject the existence of Almighty Allah relying on little knowledge. There are many signs of Almighty Allah mentioned in Holy Qur'an 1500 years ago. The modern science knew them recently. Humanism is the philosophy that seeks to understand and improve the human condition across the board by increasing individual freedom, dignity, standard of living and education. It seeks beauty and justice and equality for all people, not because someone gives it to you. It's not given by gods or kings or men of wealth. It is inherent in all people. Now, the fact that early humanists were European enlightenment thinkers is born of years those same people being oppressed and intellectually stifled by the religious authorities and marginalized the the monarchical system of the day.

@@naerua9267 alright so let break this down. your religious rights end where someone else's rights begin. so for example. you, i assume are muslim. of not, feel free to correct me. thats fine. but for example, a muslim or a jew can't eat pork, right? thats fine. thats up to you. but if you are a cashier at publix and i wanna buy bacon, you cant say "i dont believe in eating pork, therefore i can't sell you this". see how it works? your rights begin and end with you. no, i dont think morals of any kind are objective and its insane to think that anything can always be black and white. we create morals in an effort to make a better society. we create laws to rein in the most animalistic and violent of human tendencies because it is advantageous to the well being of all to live in a safe, stable and humane society. but just because these are human constructs it doesnt make them any less useful. math is purely a human construct yet with it we landed on the moon, build skyscrapers and airplanes. whose god should we use as the foundation of society? in case the video wasnt enough proof, there is no agreed upon definition of god, or what his will is. if we go off the torah, bible or koran, we'd be in jail for flogging adulterers and stoning apostates and treating women like chattle and owning slaves and we'd be denying people freedom of speech, religion and even thought. we'd go back to burning heretics at the stake and beheading infidels. there is no agreement or consensus in religion. no modern, pluralistic society can function under a theocracy. our morals have to take everyone into account. and face it, religion is not adept at being inclusive. it puts people in boxes with labels. a catholic, a protestant, a jew, a shia, a sunni, a hindu, a druze, a Buddhist, a sikh, a jain, an atheist, an agnositic, an anglican, a sufi, a hasedic... humanism has one label: human. there arent special rules for each group or faction. just one overarching rule for mankind. respect individual liberty, protect those rights, and dont infringe on the rights of others. if your religion asks of you to ignore another person's rights, to harm others or defend the harming of individuals physically or psychologically, then you should rethink your religion. its kinda simple really: you don't believe in gay marriage? dont marry someone of the same sex. your child wants to marry someone of the same sex? leave them the fuck alone. their life. not yours. you believe in your god? cool. believe away. your neighbor doesnt believe in your god? leave him the fuck alone. not your problem. see how it works? not allowed to eat bacon? fine. dont eat bacon. i want bacon? leave me the fuck alone. and this isnt just about religion, this extends to anything. if im a republican or a democrat or whatever, i shouldnt be harassed and assulted for my positions. likewise, no one can stop me from voting. if im a vegan, i can't force you to not eat meat and milk and eggs. human rights suppressed religious rights because there are dozens for religions and millions who dont subscribe to your beliefs. but we are ALL human.
@@AzrielSword100 I disagree. Morality can be objective if you believe it. The only caveat is that you better have a rational means of reaching that conclusion. As a practicing Muslim, I believe that God made morality objective for humankind. However, that doesn’t mean I get to shove it down the throats of people who disagree with me. I respect the fact that I live in a society where people have differing opinions and will defend to the death their right to say it. Muslims are being marginalised & oppressed under the vague bullshit that we describe as humanism - essentially a philosophy that claims a monopoly over all things truth, justice & beauty simply because it says it is. Things that no one will ever dare say about other sexual & religious minorities (gays/Jews) will be said about Muslims and then they will be rewarded for it. I believe in basic humanist principles e.g. freedom of speech & religion etc. But humanism can take so many different forms, as long as humans are deciding what notions of truth, justice & beauty mean - they will always be opinions and thus there will always be disagreement. You can split it between religious & secular lines or even national, & even gender lines. It just goes to show that it’s arbitrary and subjective. Just as secular humanism exists, so does religious humanism. To pretend religion is not a fundamental part of the human condition is simply a lie.
This Aisha girl had bad experiences and want to push that same narrative on the rest of us, it’s ridiculous it’s like saying my neighbour was dirty and smelt like dog poo, everyone’s neighbours smell like dog poo and are filthy. She went through something that most of us don’t go through, I don’t know of a single Muslim person that had a forced marriage, arranged is not the same forced, arranged is like blind date and two people get to know each other and if they like one another then they agree to getting married that’s not forced. There are many women, who survived forced marriages, leaving their testimony on RU-vid. It's enough of a problem in the United Kingdom that teachers are now required by law to report missing girls two law enforcement.

I didn’t say forced marriage doesn’t happen and to be 100% in sharia if the marriage is forced then it’s voided. Since when do we generalise from a single testimony? If she means her parents said something like you’ll make us very happy if you marry so and so then yes that happens a lot but that’s not forced. Forced is forcing the girl to marry someone she does not want to marry and part of the conditions of marriage in Islam is acceptance and approval from both the woman and the man. They know that the parents pull the girl out of school as the first step. Therefore the law requires that teachers must report missing students and forces police to find them. The United Kingdom also posts ads, telling girls "do not get on the plane". Do you think that United Kingdom spends this much time and money for something that is not a significant problem?
