This is real, not a mock. Recorded on 14th April 2012 at 1406 hrs. BBC2 was showing a re-run of the Chinese Formula One qualifying round, when towards the end of Q3 an error occurred. A testcard appears, then an empty studio for "Final Score" which would be shown later on during normal programming. Eventually the breakdown sequence appears together with the announcer apologising for the fault.
