That's because the frame is under-masked. That would have been cut off by the aperture plate in cinemas - same with the bottom of the screen, too much visible.
I must say that I am surprised that Living Daylights only got a PG rating. Had the 12 rating been put into existence by then? Then again here in the United States Living Daylights was rated PG. License to Kill was the first Bond movie to get a PG-13 rating in the US.
12 wasn't available until 1989. Batman was the first film with a 12 cert. License to Kill was higher here earning a 15. Talk in the BBFC said that uncut it was 15/18 borderline.
@@colin654 i also remember 12 rated videos not coming out until 1994 i think, the bbfc had to decide either to cut 12 rated movies for a PG or upgrade the rating to a 15 but that might be just me mistaking it.
For a split second at around 0:14 I kept thinking it was the Pearl & Dean Asteroid intro for some reason, But then it turns out to be this cool pleasant U.I.P. logo intro instead when I first seen it at the pictures.
I wonder if the whole movie is available. I went to the link in the description but got no result. It said that the page was removed. Do you think MGM caused the forum to be deleted? I love 35mm prints of movies. Someday, if I have the money, I will set up a home theater but I will use 35mm prints of movies.
