May be, but for me a bboy dance for himself, and with respect. I think than if they have something to say it's because they're less better than opponents. it's so easy, listen and do, stop talking.... do you think ? ^^
it's possible, i'm french and i saw every time a kind of bboy who doesn't respect other. I think we should'nt forget than hiphop born in bronx for peace and respect.
+Ibizenco_ he learned from the best lol. I was watching old clips of pockemon crew battling and lil kev is there. He was so small. looked about 8 in those clips.
0:44 that "bboy" is a disgrace to the culture. Alot of battles have cheeky moments, taunting your opponent, but your supposed to reply with your dance, not your fist. Thats not what dance is about. If you cant take a little heat and contain your anger in a battle when other bboys get in your face. Maybe you shouldnt be battling? simple as that. Especially when there are children around, most likely with their parents.
This is why I hate battles, people get rivals against each other doing the exact opposite of what dancing is supposed to do: bring us together! And it makes us behave like idiots, when I look back I always regret...
+Max Martini What the hell are u on about? Battles are fun. You get an adrenaline rush that you can never get bboying alone or just with friends. Battles make you pull out some moves that you never thought you could do. Also some random funny shit always happens.
Pyramid Head And that´s why I love cyphers! Battles are just to inflate your ego. And nowadays professional battles are all just about money, this is why people go crazy.
+Max Martini There are still a lot of respectful and humble bboy teams out there. Don't let the worst moments of this events loose your fate in this amazing competitions.
Personally, I've seen more fights break out in cyphers than in actual battle events. I think cuz most of the time people are thinking about battles as a sport they wanna win, rather than just a showcase. So while fights can still happen, in general it has a bit more professional feel to it (especially nowadays, compared to like 10-20 years ago). But in cyphers it's a lot more freeform and of course it's open to just anybody. I've seen egos flare up a lot, and people getting mad that somebody hogging the circle, or because of the smaller space and bboys who lack control but wanna show off a lot, I see more accidents, etc. Even worse is that some cyphers happen in places that serve alcohol.
