Brooklyn Center Fire Chief Todd Berg says firefighters in southern Minnesota have been working around the clock to combat the rising flood waters. He was one of several firefighters from around the state who helped out at Waterville's fire station giving local firefighters a 48-hour break. “In the fire service, we're here to help, and that's really the main point,” said Berg. “We're here to help our community, and we're here to help others.” A second member of the Brooklyn Center Fire Department, therapy dog Brooklyn, also went to Waterville to bring a calming presence.
