This video brings the museum’s rich history to life-who knew forestry could be so captivating? Loved the glimpse into the ancient trees and cool chainsaws!

The Sears Chainsaw!! I miss Sears sometimes haha. SO neat to see all the machinery and historic elements used in the forestry industry. It reminds me of our Algonquin Provincial Park logging museum a bit - I really enjoyed this look into history!

I have to say that old Sears saw was quite a surprise to me too! I think there are probably number of forestry museums around the country.

Omg I had no idea there was a forestry museum! Pretty cool that the museum shares the history of the area. And I loved that cute little tugboat as well! Thanks for taking me through this museum!

Nice little museum! A tree that's almost 500 years old. Crazy... Those chainsaws looked cool. I heard that a lot of trees in Canada are attacked by beetles. I was in the Eifel in Germany earlier this month and a lot of trees died from it. Sad to see. All the best!

Where we used to live the pine trees were decimated by the pine beetle. It was so strange to see 'active logging' signs all over the city taking down the dead trees. It really changed the look of the city and all the neighbourhoods.

Interesting museum. They have something similar in Orono Maine about logging and forest work in Maine. Its fascinating to think that one timeaone was a leader in Lumber in the US. It was very lucrative but also extremely destructive. There was even a time where the Maine Costaline in many places were basically sludge.

British Columbia has a huge logging and forestry economy. Sadly we see a lot of the destruction in our own 'backyard' when we go out ATVing behind our house.
