Lord Krishna’s blessing with you.
Great explanation. I have a query. What changes in the circuit should we do to create a BCD down counter and how does it work. Would you clear this doubt
You can use down counter. And in that, when you reach all 0s then you can set the counter to go to 1001 state. For more info about down counter, you may watch this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fyagSrWSWbc.htmlsi=y5lq4rfRicc4fQKH
@@ALLABOUTELECTRONICS as we constructed the bcd up counter we gave output of nand gate to clear of all flipflops.so in case of down counter while constructing the circuit do we have to give the output of nand gate to preset of Q3 and Q1 and to the clear of Q2 and Q1???
Is there any procedure to design a custom ripple counter or, Are there any methods to build a ripple counter from state-diagram, similar to what we do for synchronous counter ?
Hello sir one question in Mod -10 counter Why we apply clear on Q2 and Q0 while is still zero in this position? I mean in the position we want reset or clear is Q3=1 , Q2=0 , Q1=1 , Q0=0 . So Q2 and Q0 are already zero so why we apply clear on these position? Thanks for your time
In this case yes it is true that, we only need to reset Q3 and Q1. But it is a general practice to reset all the flip-flops to start the counter from 0000. I hope, it will clear your doubt.
You can refer digital design by Morris Mano. And second one is Fundamental of digital circuits by Anand Kumar. These two books will definitely be helpful.
You are seeing that glitch, because momentarily the output goes to 101. And as soon as it goes to 101, the counter gets reset. But it will get reset after the propagation delay of the flip-flop and logic gates. So, till that time, the output of the counter remains 101. I hope, it will clear your doubt.
Sir what if we connect two different mod counters in parallel? If I am not wrong the total no of states in that case will be HCF(modes of both counters), correct me if I am wrong plzz
Yes, I have already covered that at the end of the video. For more info, please watch the video from 19:53 onwards. Or you can check the description of the video for more information.
