This is the BEST series on how to understand BCS and how incredible it is at forcing the player to think much more in a "holistic" way of using the separate battalions of a division. You have clearly stated characteristics, usage and strategies in the many facets of BCS--bravo! I've played many systems but this one just keeps drawing me back again and again. Wish there were more games coming!
Thank you very much. I really appreciate your comments. I need to finish my video on Valley of Tears. There are plenty more BCS games in the pipeline. Valley of Tears has just won the modern game of the year award and I hope that work on Kalch (pre and post Stalingrad battles) is pressing on.
Made my day / week. Not to mention several other BCS bigwigs, up to and including Dean himself over on Comsimworld. I might have been a bit giddy with it and bored my patient partner.
Again, thanks for a wonderful video! Getting all of the many options clearly parsed in a holistic way is the hallmark of a great teacher. Appreciate it! Looking forward to the next -
Steady on, Thomas! But, yes, trying to parse all the options in a holistic way is exactly what I'm try to do. Next one in 4-6 weeks, far with work and a week off BCS gaming (PLS).
Happy to have found your channel. Very useful not only from a rules summary perspective but also in terms of focusing on specific BCS characteristics. Look forward to watch the next one. Well done.
I've been enjoying your series on BCS. I've been playing "Panzer's Last Stand" with my friends & we are seem to be learning the same lessons you are. Keep up the good work.
Good lord man! What detail! Amazing. Also, you’re really showing how much depth there is in this series. Shows there’s a lot here to learn to play well.
In the 4 Kav Brigade example, yes. It is one of the possibilities with the Tiger. Of course, engagements eat into your fire actions, so it is usually better to drop support on a narrow front rather than a broad one (requiring multiple drops) and use the saved fire actions to do more destructive types of combat (attacks by fire, regular combat or shock attacks).
