As a player from Korea, I’d like to share my thoughts. Right now, there’s really no reason to grind in Black Desert. The large-scale battles and content everyone could enjoy together? Yeah, those are pretty much gone. Accessory prices on the market keep dropping, and it feels like they noticed, so they dropped 'Dekiah level 2.' Maybe they’re trying to make accessories more consumable with it? Black Desert right now is like a ship without a captain. The crew has no idea what to do, and they’re just trying to fend off the next disaster in front of them. Players are asking for a lot of things, but the devs just can’t keep up anymore. I’m pretty sure 'Orzekia' content isn’t dropping this year. At this point, I just want to slap 'Illezra' across the face and uninstall the game. The server congestion in Korea is no longer 'congested.' I can really feel the sharp decline in players. This is especially clear because the activity in my own guild has dropped drastically. Watching this game fall apart in real-time feels awful. It's really frustrating. Pearl Abyss seems lost at this point; they don’t know what to do anymore, and instead of taking action, they just make empty promises while letting people leave out of sheer exhaustion. Korean players feel the same way as those in other countries. It’s heartbreaking to watch a game we cherish fall apart. It just makes me sad.

The thing that PA doesn't recognize is that conflict within the game is their core product. Their management is clearly anti-conflict, and this is a good thing in the workplace, but a terrible thing in a game. They spent years taking conflict and asymmetry out of their product through the removal of black robed man, chat policy changes, gear progression performance flattening, dec changes. Now their game is as boring as a workplace. Might as well work and get paid rather than 'play' the game.

This game has really good potential but right now it's wasting itself. i hope devs watch this and change game for this direction and reach it's potential

One thing not discussed , but in Divios Video is the way they handle COSMETICS. In most MMOs this is the real endgame. Why not put titles, aura's and different Blackstar/Souvereign Weapon colors behind challanges and achievements. For PVP; PVE and Lifeskills, for example: Get 3x Guro 50, Fastest time in a Bossrush (give us a all time ranking btw), Win 100 NWs, many more... . Dont just make weapon colors available in pearl shop like they planned.... and also totally forgot now .

Not gonna lie PA should get an award. It takes lots of skill to have such a good game at it's core, have a community that tell you time and time again exactly what they want and what to do so it is at least better for most of the player base, AND STILL PA manages to do the opposite and kills the game more every "big patch". So many good memories in this game but... Damn it's just sad...

Quendya, bless your heart for pulling this together. You are passionate about BDO and we appreciate your efforts to keep discussions going. Most gamers just give up or quit. I personally don't think BDO will change unless it changes at the leadership level. J continually proves how stubborn he is and won't budge. BDO is forever a game that will never reach its full potential of fun, creativity, and place to give us an incredible gaming experience. It is a background distraction, meant to be minimized while we wait for something worthy of OUR time and efforts as a dedicated gaming community.

What are Blue Squadron and Brobear doing in this podcast? These guys are a joke. If you want to talk seriously, invite real PvP players who aren't afraid to be red players, ambushers, killing/dec anybody with no boundaries - they brought content and made the open world pvp alive and interesting instead of node war win trade cool kids club only. Blue Squadron and Brobear pushed the narrative of "pvp is harassment" to an open world PvP game. They also supported the idea of removing the Black Robe NPC because "it's abusing system", they reported PvP players for "game disrupting" (which is part of ToS since they pushed for these changes) in what was an open world PvP environment. It was only a matter of time for Pearl Abyss to ruin node wars after changing the dec system and punishing PvP players. Now the ship is sinking thanks to streamers like them, thanks to PvE karens, and PvP cucks (those are the enemy within who sabotage the PvP system using virtue signaling). It's easy to turn Jae as scapegoat but deep down you know the community led by carebears asked for all these changes: in the forum, discord server, report tickets, streamings, the majority didn't boycott Pearl Abyss to protest against this new pace. If you want an organic PvP, just bring the old BDO back and the content will naturally happen. PvP without freedom doesn't exist. If you are afraid of trash talking, getting pk'ed, getting zerged, and you are looking for "equality and fairness" environment, "healthy chat", "no drama, no toxicity", then the current BDO stage is perfect for you, or might I recommend Farmville.

BlueSquadron is so disingenuous. I liked him at first, but he was a harbinger of some of the changes he also critiques. He made fun of everyone who was opposed to the karma and dec changes bc he thought his audience was more casual pve carebears. Now he wants to talk about the state of open world pvp?? 😂

Why is the community not DEMANDING that J resign? We're not going to fix this problem from the bottom-up. PA leadership needs to GO.

I wish we had more treasure itens to compensate for insane amount of hours put into grinding. More outfits, maybe a permanent house buff or another QoL items would be amazing. I've just finished my La Ozerka outfit and I see no reason to continue grinding. I have zero motivation to run for 5 hours just to tap PEN Godr at less than 5% for it to fail. There's no outfits being sold on SA server, so you'll only get vendor crons. And grind for dozens of hours just to buy it PEN is not very motivating also. I never liked the PVP because its always oneshot or a fight to see who grabs who first. And that will abnormaly benefit people with better PC's.

Prices of everything have tanked. So it really doesn't hurt me to continue to afk fish like I always have for 90% of my income.

Your effort is truly marvelous, but it's taking way too long for your guys to accept the fact that if PA wanted to do something about all the complains and the whinings, they would've done it already. They don't want BDO to be like in the past. Live with it or go play something else.

BDO is literally the best MMORPG right now, not even single mmorpg close to bdo in term of quality and the combat system, but sadly this game is killed by its own owner mr J, is there still any hope for this amazingly beautiful game? i mean mmorpg itself is dying, but really hope this game not following the genre path

Mi Honesta, opinion despues de 50k de horas , El juego Comenzo como carreras de formula uno y ahora siento que soy un padre intententando no pasar de 30kms, si muchisimas mejoras, algunas demasiado tarde, pero llegaron. el problema es que algunas literalmente matan el juego al ser demasiado (Acto para toda la familia, Nose si me hago entender con esta frase...) Soy PVP y ( el actual Pve esta genial) Pero no soy PVE... y mucha gente tampoco...

Just have patience something greater is coming maybe new accessory or new armors just save up silver and wait i think in 1 year from now we gonna get some great who change bdo. 😊

I'm fine with new players getting the weapon and stuff, but as they can now speedrun full standard yellow accessories for third of last year's price, they'll be hit with the reality of acquisition of hundreds of billions for miniscule gains. I don't understand why they change vendor cron prices spitting players in the face, suffocating the natural non-p2w proression dynamic that was actually pretty decent last year and instead of rolling that back they give debo hammers, but not for ring. There's no incentive to tap anything, just save silver and wait for updates, pretty boring.

Better late than never, its a good time for newer players , as well as older ones, to understand the essence of the game. This game always have been a PvP Oriented game, and its REAL "endgame" actually IS PvP. The situation the game has gotten into falls completely upon PvE players, that couldnt handle the presssure of people wanting to actually play the game. Before even PvP system was destroyed like nowadays, there were features that were helping all of them, like the marni rooms, especially after the change with the refreshable hours. I get it that people do wanna grind 5-6 hours daily, but they need to understand that grinding in an endgame spot, or in Arsha for example, is something that needs to be gained, its not given freely. The game is dying because of these exact players, the ones that are crying for not being able to grind 6 hours freely, while completely ignoring the real endgame. Its not a dev foul, its the Karens' fault. And everyone turning a blind eye on that, is as guilty. They need to make the whole pvp system way less punishing, and find a way to motivate even the PvE players to find out what this game's pvp really is. By patting their shoulder , you are just worsening the situation .
