Sir, can I introduce you to the infamous pause button. You can find it all the way down left corner on the video or simply press space on your keyboard for extra convenience. If you're a mobile user simply tapping the screen once you'll have the pause button in the middle of your screen, hard to miss. Have a nice day.
About entering block after preawakening skills - it is easier to understand when you are using skills in your first stance auto-block after your skills depends on whether you were in block stance right before casting a skill if you have shield up and use your shift + F, you'll end up in block after animation ends if you used shift+F without block - you'll end up with no block Same applies to using pre-awakening skills while in awakening stance, the only difference is that your shield state is remembered after your last swap - either C-swap or break orbit So, to avoid block animation after a grab, for example, you need to make sure that you didn't have your shield up in preawakening, which is usually not the case during pvp =(
so i tried: go into block, use rime ice/quoratum's closing and dash before entering block stance again -> swap from awa into pre awa with shift+f and i still was stuck in block although technically i wasnt in block the last time i was in pre-awa. Would've been really cool if i could avoid the bug with this but I guess it doesn't work like that. Do you know anything protected I can do in pre awa that doesn't put me in block and that lets me avoid getting this bug?
@@emmi9808 even though you were using SA skills, you'd still go into block if you didn't interrupt your skill with a dash. So the game still thinks that you were in a block stance i usually just cope with this stuff, but when it is critical (during tournaments and stuff) i make sure that i don't have block stance before i try grabbing someone. To avoid this i just use auto-attack out of block stance and then interrupt it with a dash, or just press Q and dash. That leaves a tiny gap though - i'm not sure there is any protected (or unprotected) pre-awa skill that doesn't return you to block stance. It's a feature for succ nova, but it really seems to be more like a bug for awakening. Idk, maybe if we report this stuff, PA will fix it? :D
the queen took her crown nows update i hope they dont mess with her kit now the only time we feel her being so fast with 30seconds en garde and combustlife ♥️♥️♥️
Lol i've just read under one of your last videos "i'm going to do a guide soon" and here it is! After the recent update how would you rate Nova awekening in 1v1 - 1vx and node ward/ siege? I'm considering tagging her
Yeah, we were preparing this guide already and waiting for the live Update in case there were any major changes :D I haven't had a lot of time to try it for myself but it surely sounds very strong, you basically have perma accel due to increased accel gain on basically everything + no en garde cd and you got the SA back every 30secs as well! Definitely worth a try especially since tagging is basically free right now :D I'll have to see how her damage feels in group fights but it should be fine with such a high accel uptime
Thank you for the guide , would love to know if there a follow up on this guide cuz there are literaly no other good guides out there , maybe even some insight on aos too
@@trashcan9841 i would say run full dr armors. As Accessoires go, in the gear section of the written guide i suggest stacking accuracy Accessoires after hitting the last important ap brackets, which would be 305, maybe 309 because they are not as far apart as the next one (316) then is. Nova isn't great against evasion due to not having insane accuracy modifiers on spells as well as no accuracy selfbuff so the more acc you can get while holding good ap, the better. You can definitely run a blackstar mainhand if you want because hitting ap brackets on pre awa isn't rly a priority since you mainly only use mainhand skills for utility, not for damage.

Hm I don't know much about gearing up nowadays since it was very different when I started playing the game. What I know for sure is that you should start with a season character and get full pen gear there. Start doing the dailies for the guaranteed pen accessoires from jetina as early as you can. You should also park alt characters at world bosses in general but also especially at nouver so you can start collecting nouver scales for the garmoth heart questline since it still seems hard to get from the market and in the long run you need 2. Other than that, i think buying gear is better than enhancing, unless you get some free stuff like stacks and crons from events. How far are you with your gear?
Hello, nice guide A question are you still using these 2 pvp/pve add ons. for pve i tried mostly monster dmg (and hp per hit) for pvp i ha a different though, maybe ill try yours for a change
ty, yes i still use the same addons, i use the ones from this video for pvp and the ones from my pve video for pve. I have monster dmg in my pve addons as well, the trick is to fit in as many different buffs and debuffs as possible and having the highest possible uptime on everything. I would only use hp per hit if you are really struggling to survive otherwise and the health regen from frenzy draught is not enough. You also don't have to use these addons exactly as shown, you can always adapt a bit to fit them better to your personal playstyle.
@@emmi9808 btw what crystals do u use on nova (awake and succ) mostly for pvp when random people ask for dfs so i wanted to have a good set of crystals (for armor i have 2 glorious those most expensive, 2 elkarrs on main weapon, 2 jin on gloves the rest im confused what to use)
@@chaosoflight3792 in the video description you can find the link to the google doc and there is a section about your crystal options in there with short explanations when you would prefer one over the other. In the end, those crystal options do different things and it comes down to your preferred playstyle and the gear you currently have which ones you should choose. For example if you feel like you are lacking tankiness and you dont have tons of accuracy you would probably want to go for hooms im helmet and Boots over human damage. If you want to go absolutely full damage you would choose rbf crystals, etc.. I personally am currently still using 4 set hooms in helmet and boots, ignore grab resist in awakening, red spirit in offhand. Once i change my build to several more accuracy accessoires i will swap to rbf in gloves, boots and helmet. I am also thinking about swapping to glorious olucas in the awakening weapon. As you can see it's not that simple and it really comes down to your gear and playstyle :D. For succ nova, i can imagine rebellious in offhand could be good for the tankiness and maybe getting grab resist to the maximum pvp cap could be something but i never played succ so i am clueless there.
@@emmi9808 thank you :) yea i plan (in long term if i make the silver) to buy a pen access like pen ominus with accuraccy and go rbf on helm/boot. olucas x2 on main and rbf also on nouver (rebellious i use on kutum for monster dmg) and jin elkarr glorious on glove, main and armor (typical these never changed)
I’m playing sorc atm but I look for a tag class. Nova is the closest for what I like … just here dmg looks really not good. Am I wrong or is it correct?
Yeah, i have the feeling that nova definitely has some problems nowadays. Her damage isn't really high enough anymore to justify her being that squishy and barely having s. It's straight up terrible vs. Evasion, and many people run heavy evasion builds nowadays. Also she barely has protected damage and nearly no protected ccs besides her core spell also most of her movement is unprotected, especially in accel which doesn't really make sense to me since that's kind of her identity. Having 10secs of SA just isn't as good anymore since nowadays basically every class can stay fully protected. The grab also is definitely one of the worse ones in the game, unusable im group fights outside of the 10secs accel SA since it's the only class that doesnt have a protected success animation. I really like the class but I just feel like she got left behind by the class reworks, all the changes and new classes.
I think it's intended yeah, it might be like e buff on other classes, for example on awa sorc the eva rate from e buff also doesn't stack with the eva rate from shadow leap/flow of darkness or the cast speed from succ sorc e buff doesn't stack with the cast speed selfbuff
once you start grinding spots where you need proper skill rotations because you don't kill the mobs with 1 or 2 skills, you generally want to keep selfbuffs and debuffs up as much as possible and then burst the mobs with your highest damage spells. You can nearly have permanent accel uptime by following the trick at 5:37 to get 40% accel right after accel ended. Then you can use combust life to get another 40% right away. Your highest hitters are accel:swooping ring, accel: remise, starfall and star's call. Comet, Slicing Ring and brutal ring are also good for damage. Your selfbuffs besides addons are fleche (15% cast speed), riposte (20ap) and Icy kiss (20% crit rate). Since you have such a high accel uptime, you don't have to bother too much with keeping riposte up because the 20ap doesnt stack with the 20ap you get from being in accel. In case you pull mobs, you can use the time to go into pre awa and use icy kiss to pre buff crit rate. Debuffs besides addons in your kit are remise and frozen ring with -dp and lunge with -eva rate. Here's an example for pve addons (you can adjust them depending on what skill rotation you prefer to do): cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/911937152730939402/1029496976921858058/unknown.png
Those you mostly can only grab, against succ nova it's a bit Shit because your grab Animation is unprotected so you might still get cced by the pets, you also have to combo as protected as possible because of the pets but thats just succ novas horrible design. I don't think there is much counterplay. Other shield classes are easier if you manage to hit the grab.
I'd say she's definitely not the easiest one to learn because she is high apm and fast but ultimetly i think it comes down to what kind of classes you have played before and how much pvp experience you have. For me personally she wasn't that difficult to learn.
you can probably mostly keep the same addons and just swap out whatever stat you are already capped in with something that is not capped. Bleed Addons are good in capped but in my addons i already run 2 so that should be enough. You can see what caps there are on a region by hovering over the region icon on the world map.
Hello, any idea how to fight a succ dk and awk sorc ? I’m new in nova and find extremely difficult when pvp with succ dk and awk sorc, it’s so hard to grab her and most of my cc are unprotected… whenever I tried to cc dk with stun/float, I always get cc by her wheel of fortune 🥲🥲
I would try to grab on longer casting skills like wheel, lunacy or spirit legacy against dk and grim, swirling or soul reaper vs. awakening sorc. Novas grab is a bit tricky since its slower than most so i would try to use the range advantage on it. It's dangerous to grab a wheel or grim while in range of the cc because it is likely that your grab is slower and you lose. Apart from grab, it's true, you only have one protected cc which is your core spell, the other good ccs are all unprotected. I use stiff on swooping ring, because especially accel swooping is very fast and you can get behind frontals very well with it. Other than that, the ccs, like comet, lunge or riposte are unprotected but also very fast so i still use them a lot to try and fish for ccs in small gaps of my opponents. If you often get cced by certain spells of you enemy, like wheel, i would first play more protected and try to bait that skill and then , when you know, that for 6 secs she doesnt have it, you can be a bit more agressive. But i know it's tricky, especially since succ dk has many protected ccs and very short cds. I would say it just takes a lot of practice to become better in those matchups.
