Newest video to the Injora Rock Buggy playlist, keeping the theme of budget rock crawler, I found these axles from BDX RC and decided to give them a shot. I broke front CVD on the stock Injora axle and instead of fixing it, I decided to go with this for the upgrade to gain extra weight to lower the center of gravity more. Link in the description where to find these. They look to be very close to the Injora ones I bought and installed on my Redcat Gen 7 (See my channel for that playlist). These axles will fit SCX10 and compatible trucks like the Redcat Gen 7. When winter is gone I will test these out. In the end the stock drive shafts were needing to be replaced, so we'll see how these budget new shafts work out too that I bought from Amazon. Thanks for watching and see you soon on the next video!
Thanks Ruflasto! Yes the lower CG on this will be a big benefit. Running video is on hold because there is 5 inches of snow on the ground right now. Probably have to wait till March, but maybe sooner, we can hope!! Have a great week my friend 😎
Hey John! I love these axles. Plus on mine they used locktite / thread lock on the screws so no worries about screws backing out on the 2nd time you drive the RC. I'm pleased with them and it fit my budget and it's an upgrade. It's a bit ironic on an injora rig I went with a different brand (somewhat no name too) and they are great. I'm sure if you want to pay way more you'll find better but these I'm happy with. And always nice to hear from a fellow Canuck. I'm down here in the Niagara region. Have a good one!
Thanks! it's kinda funny with the injora build I went with a different aftermarket axle. But they are great! I haven't open them but i would think they can use some grease on the diffs. I remember once haven't used this in a couple months from all the use in the summer and it was squeaking for the first min and everyone was laughing (crawler group.) But they are great and they use lock tite / thread lock on the screws. UNLIKE the injora ones (I put those on my redcat gen 7 - they are scx10 style and fit a long of models) - those screws back out easily after 1 or 2 uses and I was missing some before i noticed. They are probably comparable but just for that I give these the nod!
What tires do you have? Size. I'm a noob and winging it. I think I have enough parts ordered that when I get tires I can put it together with the esc and such. No transmitter or lipos yet haha
Currently run the 1.9" ones that came with it. You can buy the kit with or without tires and i bought the one with. They are decent. My custom rock bouncer has 2.2's on it and it floated over the rocks... so it's got me wondering about getting a set for this rig too. Not sure how the stock brushed 540 will hold up as the rock bouncer has a brushless system.
Hey Joey! Yeah man I bought the stock kit and ran it for a while. I snapped the front right CVD and decided why not get the metal axles and improve performance if I have to pay money to fix it. Definitely will lower the CG. Welcome to my videos on it and hope you enjoy the build and play time. I got these BDX ones just to see what they are like. Always good to have options and it was cheaper price too.
