Memories! I still haven't been to the cathedral or the Smithsonian so we have two very big reasons to go back. But when we do we will be sure to "be here"!

Our hotel was in Maryland. We used the rental car to get to the subway, then bought "Big Red Bus' tickets to be able to hop on and off around the Mall for three days. It was a lifesaver.

@@BeHereTravel We are, but I always remember the hot summer of 1978 when my wife and I moved here from the mountains of North Carolina to a new start. The area intimidated us, yet charmed us, and over the decades we made careers and raised children and this became our home. I very much enjoy the stories of folks who visit and I feel blessed that I live in the midst of what this area offers. Again, nice video.

Why is the Lincoln Memorial “Infamous”?

Because of the contributions the man made to the country and in some ways the world. Because it's one of the most well-known and recognized statues in the world. Over 6 Million tourists visit the memorial every year. It's one of top places to visit in all of DC.
