Having been a long serving US Army MP, and having spent many, many hours standing guard on both missions and ceremonially - these fine guards put up with far more disrespect and disregard than any others I've ever seen. My hat is off to them one and all.
How much longer are The Military Hierarchy going to allow Our Brave Servicemen to be Demeaned by these Ignorant Tourists. They Serve Their King and Country yet they are put on show like Toy Soldiers to be Ridiculed by Idiots. This should Be Stopped.
Noticed as well, most people stand next to the Guards as if they were a statue and not a human. No thanks, not even a nod of acknowledgement. Very sad.
They seem to think it’s characters at Disney, people keep touching the horses irritates me. There’s no need for it, I expect they wouldn’t want to keep being touched
The public have no concept as to why the Guards are there. Not knowing the Guards are on duty, and are there ,regardless of those ignorant people! Loved Miss Tiddly in her pink dress! Beautiful little girl.
They know why the Guards are there they have been acting appalling all of this year to my knowledge It never used to be like this before these obnoxioius phones came about they are intrusive to the extreme , In the past this never ever happened when people took a photograph of them because the cameras we had only would take 8/12 or 20 photographs on one roll of film and then have to take it to be processed,. now these people can take as many as they wish to or until the power runs out and they never need to take any to be processed but can download on their computers in as many as they want to.
The faces and positions, weird finger shapes…I don’t understand why anyone would pay so much to visit then make photos an embarrassment in later years. I really don’t understand why people feel the need to mail the horses either, no need for it. One does it, or a staff member, police etc working there so random people copy. It reminds me of a craft fayre I did, I was sat under my gazebo and a family wanted me to move then open the back up more so they could go through it! Nothing stopping them taking a metre step to the left or 3 metres to the right to go around my gazebo. But we want to get the the pony rides, they cried! Not through my stall you’re not! The ponies were about 12-15 metres behind me. To add I’m disabled and doing fayres causes me intense pain and for days after. Getting up & down for entitled adults doesn’t happen.

People love seeing the guards in videos, don't have to falsely advertise (clickbait) to get people to watch. Also using the magnificent guards in a clickbait feels a little insulting to them. Just my opinion. Have a lovely day.

Sometimes the tourist has the entire family in tow for a whirlwind tour of the United Kingdom and related destinations. Snapping away with cameras to capture the moment. Please no flash photography as the horses eyes are very sensitive. 🐴

I am not sure that anyone should have to put up with being treated no better than an exhibit. Would it be better to have a mannequin placed so people can take their photos, or is this just an unpleasant part of the job?
I will give the tourists in today's video one thing. They all stood close, but not too close, and did not interfere with the guard's duty. I thank you from across the pond sir for your service, and I thank you for standing there patiently for all those idiots taking pictures since they can't be bothered to say thanks.
