I drove for 35 years and the best advice I could give any driver is to remember you are getting paid to do the job that doesn't mean just holding the wheel it's everything else it takes to get the job done. Keep it in the back of your mind and it will help you get thru the bull. Be safe be cool on ya stool and KEEP ON TRUCKING, toot toot.
You are 100% right sir and luckily for me I understood that because I didn't get my CDL till I was a little older I only drive or drove for 5 Years cuz I got tired of all the BS but you are exactly right I see too many drivers on these videos talking about that ain't my job just like you said what they don't understand when you're a driver everything is your job because you were the only person out there you're not working on a crew of people to pass the buck to
Interestingly, the vast majority of companies ONLY pay the driving portion of the job…and barely that. Perhaps remind them all work should be compensated?
Bro!! The dude at AAK funny as hell!!! He use to be at the bunge plant in Kearney NJ years back. An also im a Prime tanker driver too for over 10 years. Who ever trained you was good and im happy to see someone doing it right!! 💯💯💯
@@stevo6891 I'd say go with Prime. Schneider has meter pumps that from what I saw are kind of tricky to handle. Plus some of their new drivers look as if they were hired from the streets.
Great job! Try not to leave anything on your truck or trailer. You put that new pull stick on your fender. You could forget about it one day and fall off. I drove flat bed for 23yrs. It's easy to forget.
Im not a tanker driver i drive dry van been doing it for 7 years. I know a good honest working driver when i see one. I subscribed to your channel because of your work ethics. Keep up the good work. Oh and it was funny the guy got upset about a washout ticket. God bless him.
Stacking cash maybe the first year at prime inc. A ton of driver's quit because they couldn't afford to live. Some driver's were saying they had to get housing assistance just to keep their apartment or homes
Bruh I subscribed simply because of the way u cleaned ur windshield with the dawn…GENIUS!!!!!..plus ur response to that hot headed old head was righteous. Shalom akhee
This is my introductory video to your channel, great work, subscribed for sure. What you said at the beginning about not letting people ruin your day is so true; the amount of times I've walked into a shipper/receiver office at 6 or 7 in the morning and the people in there are already irritated and mad...it's like bruh y'all just woke up and you're already mad at the world like this? 😂 It used to piss me off too but I learned to just brush it off, not gonna let someone else's bad day ruin my mood. Pray for 'em and move on! I think I've seen your truck around a terminal but I'm not 100% sure, either way keep truckin brotha and if I see you around I'll holla!
You are young and smart about that!Do not let the bright lights and the chance of winning mess with your day! Been there and done it. Never mess around in any truck stop.
You handled that well. I don't think I would have handled that as good. I'd give out the same energy. Can only take so much. Haha I'd say not my problem.. but good learning lesson, ask for the wash ticket for now on lol. So many times I'd have to tell the office when they try give me a messed up trailer I'd ask for a print out sheet and their name with their signature with the date and a copy so if D.O.T gave me shit im taking them down with me lol
Salute u my brother,, straight up here from Africa,,, u doing great job,,, that's motivate me to fulfill my dream of becaming a truck driver one day 🤜🤛
Not gone lie I'm pulling chemical tanks for years and just learned something new. I never rolled up a hose to get the product out. Boss man be safe out there.
First time watcher, really enjoyed your honest and complete picture of the business. Also the people you meet on your journey, you never know what you are going to get. I'll be watching for the next one, happy haulin'
Truck drivers have a tough enough job without having more piled on by a-holes. I would never want a trucker to get back on the road all riled up because of something I did. Too much depends on a truck driver, especially safety. I'm not naïve though. Some drivers need to take 5 minutes upon arrival for the 'blood pressure' to come down.
Lol I know right. It came up as a suggestion on my recommended videos to watch. Your welcome man and that dude at that receiver definitely was having a bad day, we as drivers can’t let that get to us. We still gotta act professional doing our job.
Hey, that's a good trick putting Dawn on the squeegee. I keep a small bottle with me and add a few drops to my washer fluid. Sometimes when I go to shippers/receivers they'll have little boxes of safety stuff like ear plugs and what not. If they have lens wipes I'll take one or two as they are great for cleaning the wipers. I also put Nu Finish the once a year car polish on the glass. Makes it easier to clean and repels rain. Doesn't repel rain as well as Rain-X, but it seems to last longer and I can get a big bottle of it at the dollar store for about five bucks.
Great job, my good brutha. Keep up the great work. Stay safe, stay humble, and keep God first. You are going to succeed in everything you do. Because you have the right attitude.
18 years strong in the game here. I don't run OTR but I have delivered in many major cities..You handled that about as well as you could. As for people being a-holes, I give them the same energy they give me. I'm pretty stone faced anyway so most of the time they already think I'm the a-hole first. If they lighten up, then I'll lighten up as well. One thing you're not gonna do is give me crap because you hate your job! Stay safe out there. I'm subbing now my guy.
I just subscribed to your channel young man, you are full of positive attitude and energy. I'm going to join prime inc in the next few month , tank devision. I wish you a lot of success, stay safe and healthy. God bless you .😊
Hello I LOVED the video and I also just subscribed! I use to haul fuel and I see you out there “Getting It” I’m also a new RU-vidr and love the edits and the way you set your video up. Keep up the GREAT work and be careful out there.
Great video and you've a excellent attitude towards the job young man 👍 the industry needs more deivers like you coming into it, keep up the good work.
Good job handling that the way you did. I’ve watched 50 year old men act like children in situations like that. Sometimes you just have to remind yourself the dude is probably having a shit day.
the older guy just wanted the easy way out with the hard copy of the paper work . him having to request the print out be done is not his fault and they should know that some things are digitally done now not always on paper
Hang tuff young king , it takes all kinds, i had that happen denton texas, i was new , and late for my appointment, the started trip'n, until i gave him that WTF look
Young buck if you take that window washer and wet the window with the solution on one side first good when you dip it again to go over with a lil more pressure you wont ever need liquid soap. The solution in the bucket has an agent that works great on loosening up the bug splatter and road grit
Just subbed man keep up the good work. I’m 4 months in with Schneider on the dry van side. Got my tankers endorsement going for my hazmats soon might come over to prime.
Good to see people out there getting it done right, just keep smiling brotha. Eventually you'll get yourself into a nicer, and nicer rig. Only two people gamble consistently: Addicts, and people playing other peoples money.
Yea especially for new drivers I been there done that. They really throw you out there with wolves. No matter how long it take you to do sumn always make sure you safe and not hitting anything.
Hey, if you ever deliver to Hershey in Robinson Illinois, there's a Tank Wash behind them that will be glad to take care of you cleaning needs! RIG Tank Wash is the name. And we don't have any Aholes there!😂😂
We tanker yanker work too hard for our money to give it to the casino. lol I'm only 54 and hate to even spent $10 on a few lottery tickets. NEVER leave a tank wash without a physical copy of the washout. I have a laptop, laser all in one printer/scanner and 300gig of data business internet cube on each of my 3 trucks. Just keep yanking that tank brother and roll easy. I subbed to ya. ✌😎
Prime tanker division was the funnest job i had. But i sadly had to make the choice to leave because the pay was really bad for the amount of time spent aways from home.
We all know dealing with arseholes comes with the territory fella 🤣, no matter where in the world your trucking . P.s in some cases unfortunately, it can be other truck drivers too. . Good vid.. safe journeys mate 🙂👍
you can never 100 percent control or predict what someone is going to do but you can 100 percent escalate siutation where someone becomes a danger to people around them from there anger and agression i belive you read the mans emotions well and de escalated it all in the best way possible
Seal in is the 145753 seal for receiver seal out is the 145753 for shipper. Also you can access depart and arrivals by just clicking on the load info and it will have it there.
Casinos should only be used for having fun, but some folks use their life savings to try and win big. I myself go about once a year on my birthday if I don’t have other plans. It’s not for everyone. But if one goes the best advice I would tell you is please don’t take any bill money. For God sake please don’t. Peace and blessings young man. My 23 year old daughter is a trucker, for almost 5 years. She’s saving to buy her own truck.
I'm from that county in NJ. Bro probably from NWK but unfortunately that's how we're raised. Hard noesd there's no Southern hospitality up bro. Keep trucking and winning. That's just Jersey
