I've been helping family members for ages, and all I got was contempt, verbal, emotional and financial abuse. I have decided many years ago to let them sit in their mess, and they grew up. They learnt to deal with their money, because they understood that I would no longer pay for their debts. Be blessed, Tony!
Tony ‼️‼️‼️ my brother had a job with metro north had 6 kids and won a settlement for 100,000 I lived in an apartment in nyc since I was 17 I dealt with no water heat bed bugs roommates not paying rent and not once did my older brother check on me… he spent all the money and ended up homeless and I said I can’t help you he died last year and I miss him but I’m relieved because no one helped me and I a giver sometimes enough is enough and you have to let people go

I definitely needed to hear this today. I recently helped my husband out through a tough situation where I knew he needed his vehicle for work. Well now he calling me for help ALOT. And I told God today, see God I don’t mind helping however, I do not want to come in between the consequences of his sins! I will not continue to help him when there’s a lesson needed to be learned. When we separated he didn’t have a care in the world with me financially and I had to crawl my way out and still not out of debt because of it. This is a season where I said God let your will be done and I will continue to uplift and pray for him through his storm 🥹 I hate I had to be tough because I want to help but I am not God. I can’t save you. He needs to fall on his face and repent and seek God you reap what you sow….

Man this was my story helping helping helping. I’ve learned when people ask for 100 offer them 40 or 50 let ‘em get the rest elsewhere. Just recently I had a friend ask for 50 I sent her 40 she swore she would pay me back 2 days ago I haven’t heard from her. But guess what? I’m not mad she’s just a person I never have to worry about asking me for money again. Not lacking a thing glory be to God. I definitely agree with Toni have boundaries because when your down they won’t be found
I am forever GRATEFUL that the MOST HIGH has delivered me from the pity/begging bondage spirit. Well over a decade ago, I often played the victim mentality, not thinking it would ever catch up with me until one day I went so low to beg from a very prolific Man and somehow over 10 years later, me and that same Man see each other almost everyday in an upscale environment where we both know at one point I begged from him...I humble myself to share this in hopes to deliver someone from having a victim mentality--it's a lie from the pit of hell! What Prophetess Tiphani Montgomery stated is so true: "The apparent unfortunate are only wealthy people who happened to be in a poor situation". And please listen to 'Prophet' Gaskins as well 😉. Don't do what I did and take the scripture, Ask and You Shall Receive" out of context. Have more dignity and respect for yourself-Be Too Proud to Beg!!

Quick question, the Bible says we should give more than we receive. However, If someone asks you for money and promised to give the money back at a particular time. Went past the deadline with little communication.. eventually gave some of the money back but not everything in full. How would you handle this? Biblically speaking..
