Wow new subscribers here! I live not far from where you started this hike, I never knew of this trails 😂 I love hiking and did a lot of it in my younger years with friends. I would love to do it again but I need friends to do it with. I am color blind and will easily get lost because I not always see the trail marks. Also love camping! I didn't know you can camp out on the beach, my wife and I are dying to camp at the beach like we did in our youth. More information on that beach camping site will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Weird stuff in the woods! Toilet and toothpaste, a tore up Cabbage Patch doll, and a boat. Wrong turn at Albuquerque. 😂 Holy miles, Kelly. The moonlit beach was beautiful. ✌️

The bike painted white is called a ghost bike. They are put there in memory of a cyclist who died on that spot. Just a reminder to all those in cars. please watch out for us. Share the road.

Wow I used to live in Ft Walton Beach back in 1980, and always went to Navarre. It sure has changed. Hiking till midnight in sand dunes and pitching with all the gnats is crazy! If you get time, check out Hammerhikes 3 hour AT video it's almost like being there and is awesome.

What a beautiful day - strange trail finds, the beautiful trail kitty was the best by far. 😍 Those highway crossings stress me out just looking at them, it's too bad the FTA can't figure out an alternative. Can't believe this thru hike is over with and it's only April! I'm curious to see how you will fill up the rest of your year!

Hey little tidbit of info. The bike is a ghost bike. Someone was killed riding their bike at that spot and local cyclists put a bike painted white (ghost bike) in their memory

Here's the story with that white bike years and years ago there used to be a lady who rode around she was called the bag lady but the fortunately she was hit by a car and her bike has been there ever since

We had a white bike chained to a tree in the median of 51st Street in Oakland for years. I think it was removed. I knew it was a memorial, what I didn't know was that it's not the only one. Apparently they're called "ghost bikes."

Just found out that those white bikes have a name: "ghost bikes." We had one in Oakland on 51st street for many years. They're memorials. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_bike
