I will never understand why people choose to just crowd a situation when lifeguards are actively trying to clear a path. I get the initial crowding because of curiosity and concern, but afterwards you're risking the patient's health
Unfortunately thats human nature to be curious. They wanna see what happened and how it'll play out. You're absolutely right like if youre bumping elbows with emergency services you're obviously too close and need to back up.
@@jamesfaster8944 if you could see that they were getting the help they needed, I'd say you would stay and watch (the subconscious mind is powerful). After all that's how we humans have evolved so well. Look Listen and Learn. So if you are in a situation where YOU need to give the first aid you may know what to do. "Well your wrong I have no interest in ogling an injured swimmer or anyone in distress unless I can help" Why did you watch then? you can not help anyone watching your screen
As someone who's had 2 neck surgeries caused by something irregular, I'm so glad they took his neck pain seriously. When his friend said he was fine and didn't need to go to the hospital, it made me wish I was there to slap him upside his head! These lifeguards are quite literally life savers who probably don't get paid near what they're worth!
@@MylkT1023 Because they're stupid and don't understand that just because you can move doesn't mean you haven't seriously damaged something. People have broken their necks and then died because they turned their head in the wrong direction while being immobilized and treated at a hospital likely would have saved their lives.
They had one episode (3 spinals in one day) they had one dude who wanted to walk away when he had 3 breaks in his neck? he was so thankful the lifeguards made him go and took it seriously because he wouldn't of walked out that hospital
I think it’s honestly so disrespectful how people had to follow that poor bloke all the way to the ambulance , because people can’t mind their own business
beachgoers see the cameras and the boom microphone, and next thing they all want their friends to see their faces in the next episode of Bondi Rescue. Sad but true.
Ikr! I wrote a comment like that on another one of their videos. It’s so disrespectful! And especially if it’s a young kids parent it’s not helping having a massive crowd follow them everywhere!

bloke thinks he’s a tough guy and doesn’t take medical precautions seriously bc he’s too macho to get hurt, so his brother must be the same. such dangerous stupidity.
I love how the boys went all mushy, oohing and ahhing through the binoculars. They act all tough and competitive but deep down, they're fluffy care bears.
It never ceases to amaze me how people just crowd around when there’s an emergency, it’s really infuriating. Speaking from experience, it just makes me so angry. Like move on people! Can’t they tell they are just making it so much worse? They could actually block emergency services from getting to the patient who could die because of it. It’s not a reality tv show. This is someone experiencing a serious real life emergency and all they can do is crowd around them and stare like idiots. Insane.
They did get married they stayed married for 10 years and they had been together for 5 before the marriage . And they also have 2 kids together . He said they just ended up growing apart though she was a beautiful part of his life .
watching y'alls videos makes me want to go to Bondi one day. not for any other reason than to drop off gifts from Philadelphia and say thanks for the view into your days. You are all such wonderful humans. The world is a better place with the Bondi Lifeguards.
I’m not the strongest swimmer and on top of it i have a physical disability. I try to only stay where i physically know I’m capable of being able to swim if necessary. Id probably try and only go as deep as my hips in the bondi area. But id have these lifeguards to help me if I’m ever in trouble there
@@joannemurdock7899 lol I’ve never seen it myself. But I’ve always loved the ocean and I know that it can do whatever it wants when it wants. I respect the water enough to know what my limits are and never push it. Lol
its weird to think how old this episode is, fan faves harrison and jethro were still kids lol. These older episodes have a slower paced feel to them. maybe its the music?
I went from watching Tornado footage from a few tornados filmed 20 min. South of my home in Iowa, to RU-vid sending me Bondi Rescue episodes. I am so captivated by all the lifeguards work in rescue, people management, and their skills and knowledge. My gosh, we Americans did wrong with fictitious Baywatch! We should have just watched real lifeguards! Thanks so much for all your hardwork and sacrifice with so much risk! Cheers and God bless!! ❤
I can’t even believe the people that refuses to step back from the boy w/ a possible spinal injury, they could have hurt him more than he was already hurt and sent him into a panic
@@Michellemutts7848 Basically normally people of that faith either never cut their hair to resemble the never ending lifespan but people who do want to cut their hair should keep one strand at the back
I’ve almost drowned at the beach before. I didn’t quite understand how I got in that situation. I was at the beach, the waves were crazy and constant. I was fearless at that time. My sister and I run towards it. We’re washing away with our feet touching the floor the whole time, until hers didn’t. She starts freaking out after a while (she can only doggi paddle) so I swim out to get her, only to find myself not being able to swim back. My sister is now full blown panicking to the point where she grabs my shoulders and pushes down to be able to breathe, not realizing she was drowning me when she did that. I started panicking because now I was drowning. I start signaling to the lifeguard on duty who responds immediately. Here’s the embarrassing part. When the lifeguard finally reached us, we had gotten ourselves to sand level again. So we just walked the whole way back. After that incident, I do not get inside the water if the waves are crazy, and when I do get in, it’s only to jump waves. I don’t dive anymore, I don’t get in there too deep, and I never let my feet leave the sand. Respect the sea or the sea will disrespect you
I get onlookers but they were deliberately and aggressively swarming him. They were being arrogant and disobeying the lifeguards. It was disgraceful to see but well handled by the lifeguards.
Imagine how freaked that stingray felt. You find yourself trapped in a small area where the exit seems to have disappeared (the high tide leaving the kiddie pool) and suddenly an alien creature mushes you into a space made of material you have never felt (the yellows plastic container), lifted into another type of atmosphere for a minute or two then just as suddenly plopped back into your regular reality ( the ocean) 😂🥺😭hope the little guy was ok
The fact that the guys brother was becoming so agitated you could tell that they probably have a really good relationship and that he dearly cares for his brother
Hello Bondi Rescue Crew, this episode was amazing, nerve-wracking, and chaotic! Congratulations on your proposal to Lily, Deano! I wish you two lots of happiness for life! 😊❤️💍
in the uk we litterly have hardly any lifegaurds at all, well done bondi, i know its stressful when crowds come really big but at the end of the day you did what you did so good job x
Respect to these life gaurds they really treat thier beach with dignity and respect and it really is their beach. they do their upmost to protect the beach itself and all the people who use it If someone is hurt they feel their pain. They carry them to the ambulance. Ask for updates after. the people who protect bondi beach are some of the finest people Australia has to offer truly amazing people. 👏
Spent a lot of time at Bondi. It’s not just the tourists who get in trouble. Amazing how wow everyone doesn’t know how to get out of a rip current. I like early March, as crowds are smaller and ocean still not too cold and nice 3-4 foot waves at second set, perfect.
why do people dislike the video. Like i get it if it’s terrible or clickbait and cringe. But there is nothing bad about this video. if u don’t enjoy beach stuff then don’t watch it.
Some people do it to be rude or they think it’s funny. I’m with you it’s kind of disrespectful. Even if you don’t like the video, you shouldn’t dislike it.
I’m with you guys on this but it is kind of funny because the amount of people who dislike the video just give the channel more “views” so in the long run giving that poster more views and “support” but yes it is very disrespectful and people should just not do it it isn’t worth it also people don’t ask then to on here and dislike or watch so if you don’t like just don’t watch it
I follow you every now and then. I have great respect for you all and for the work you do. You are a good team with time for pranks and a good laugh. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱🙋♀️
Its honestly frustrating to see people crowding around people who are being treated. Like I understand people are naturally curious but if you're bumping elbows with the lifeguards and blocking emergency services every which way, you're just making the situation even worse. If you want to help, clear people away. Make room for emergency services and stop freaking gawking; this isnt some zoo
This show is so much more relaxing then the shit going down on Nightwatch. Whenever I get overwhelmed by that show I always come back to these episodes ☺️
Lol I always feel the opposite! Nightwatch is way more enjoyable for me to watch, when it comes to anxiety levels…… I also realize that I might just be weird though too because of that!!!!!! ⚜️💜🤣🤷🏻♀️ (it’s probably because I love New Orleans and Louisiana since my Dad and the majority of my family on that side are all from and live there so it’s strangely comforting in that way lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣)
Must’ve been a rough day for everyone that day: had to close down the beach Rescued over 20 people in 5 minutes and more needing to be rescued Having to deal with Mohammad A fight breaks out Potential spinal injury
Riptides for me are the scariest thing in the sea.Because you can’t see them, they can be anywhere and suddenly appear anywhere, and because you don’t realise until it’s too late.
