Beach Fishing battle against the crabs! It’s an episode where GP grabs a 5 hour trip on the beach in breezy conditions, just hoping for a Smoothhound .But the crabs are on the move and mowing their way through his baits, so he decides to make himself the ultimate beach-cooked steak sandwich..Then its off for a film session in a huge house and grounds in London, followed by a trip to his back yard where he discovers two major insect creatures, and one is a real alien looker with giant pincers...What the heck is it ??...Someone out there must know..and is it poisonous ? (I don't think I'll sleep after seeing it).

Kudos for referencing it all going Pete Tong! I can just see Graeme going nuts, raving away to some house classics! On a serious note, ‘thank you’ for another great video Graeme. The fish may not have being playing ball, but your enthusiasm and passion shine through in every video. Thank you for being you Graeme, you truly are one in a million and your videos keep so, so many people happy. On a final note, you don’t need to appear on Antiques Roadshow to be famous- you already are! Keep up the awesome work sir. You are indeed a legend.

Hi Graeme, here in South Africa we call them "Miswurm" mis = dung and wurm = worm. Over here it is the larvae stage of a dung beetle. We used them sometimes to land catfish (barbel). Be careful of those pincers, they can give a good nip when you least expect it.

We call them mudeyes here in Australia it’s the larva stage of the dragon fly and they mate excellent bait for trout. Hope this helps mate and good health to you and yours cheers 🍻

Great video as always Graeme! Selsey looks a good mark. One of the lads on TSF was down there last Friday, fished low up to high (about 3.30am) and had a PB Tope, just under 25Lb, on Sprat & Squid wraps. He had quite a few Bream too. Steak made my mouth water, but I prefer Rump - more flavour, and it has to be rare, unless i get sidetracked by my Beer glass and it turns out Medium rare! Antiques road show looked interesting with Charlotte, and it's always good to see what is occurring in the Pullen garden! Stay safe & well. 👍👍

As has already been said, the dragonfly is not eating another bug. The thing it was clamped onto is it’s larval carapace. It has emerged from its larval stage and become an adult dragonfly. Dragonflies and their larvae are truly fascinating creatures. I love looking at their extendible mouthparts in their larval stages. Truly astonishing!

That’s what we call a grub , some kind of beetle larvae over here in Ky, those damn things are all over the yard just under the surface of the ground, every spring. I don’t know what the hell their called originally! That dragonfly had just came out of that other thing that it was clinging onto, some stage in their development. Anywho, keep rocking Graeme! 🤘🤘✌🏻🍻

Chafer grub will grow into chafer bettle. Adults feed on leaves etc. The grub feeds on grass roots so small patches might turn yellow but you need a lot to cause damage. The real damage comes from crows once they find an area, you'll find beak holes everywhere. Lots of golf courses and short lawns mostly affected. May June is when most active, digging over the veg patch, blackbirds use to sit on the runner bean frame for their dinner.

Steak Rare cooked on a barbecue served with a mixed salad and new potatoes. Pop Ups on the beach fishing may of saved the blank as for the crabs I just think they were shore crabs as the spiders would often clean pinch straight through the line. I hate you blanking on the beach when you have put all that effort into filming for the viewers. Still you make it fun with your commentary and your interesting finds and cook ups. Richmond filming was great this is only 20 miles away from where I currently live, yet I'd never heard of that house. As for bugs (excluding dragon flies) I hate them. (I even stress putting ragworms on a hook)! Any well done nearly fifty minutes of entertainment thanks for taking the effort to post. (Contracts on my house in Paignton being exchanged next week with a bit of luck will be joining you on the beach (at least in spirit) by early June.

Thanks for the entertainment Graham, I’m currently bedridden on my third day with the dreaded covid virus and not enjoying it one bit. A little story about steaks 🥩, we were in Spain once on a stag do and we all piled into a Spanish restaurant who specialise in steak, well let me tell you, I was horrified when the steak was brought out, a piece of steak the size of a large dinner plate and as thick as a sponge cake swimming in a centimetre of blood, supposedly that is the way they like it over there, I think I’ll take your cook up every day compared to that mess!
