Recently moved here from Saskatchewan and cannot wait to hook into my first striped 🤙🏼 solid videos, maybe see you out there when I make my way towards summerside haha cheers!
Rookie question here. Solid angler my whole life here in Ontario. I fish all species all thru out the year. I will be taking my first trip out east ever this weekend. There for a week and its my dream to catch a Striper. My question is could I tackle one of these with 8 pound test? Or should I bring heavier line? I'm in Cavendish for the week. North shore good? Looking forward to your reply
Hey sorry man not sure if I missed you but I would bring at least 20 pound test as there are some bigger fish hanging around and I’d hate to see you lose a 30+ inch striper because of light line especially since the water in pei can be shallow so you need to cast far
Awesome fishing buddy! I’m new to PEI and love fishing but never fished anything but freshwater. Would love to get into stripes but have no idea where to go or what to use and what times of year haha
thanks alot man i appreciate it! i use multiple setups i have a daiwa saltist 3000 on an 10.5 foot fenwick light rod and i also use for the beach a penn slammer on a 7 foot matzuo rod because i broke my 7 foot fenwick :P also i use a paternoster rig with one barbless hook and chunk mackerel
@@MackenzieSapier Thanks for the info man grabbing gear soon! Family and I likely moving out there sometime this spring and cannot wait to go beach fishing for some bass!! Is it cool if I message you when I move there for some pointers? Fished all my life for trout in lakes in BC but this will be a first!
Great video , I’m coming up from Long Island to visit family. I’m a big surf caster down here , What licenses do I need to fish them are they still in season ? Thank bud
hey man thats awesome! yes they are in season and biting very well right now! if you are fishing the surf on the beach you do not need a license althouygh if you plan on chasing them upriver you will require a quick and easy license
