The bay of Cala Agulla is located near Cala Rajada and is a beach popular with party tourists and the starting point of the circular hike. After a few meters of altitude you reach a ruined watchtower (Talaia de son Jaumell) from which it goes (steep at first - be careful!) downhill to Cala Mesquida.
The hike across the headland between the bathing bays of Agulla and Mesquida is one of the most popular tours in the north-east of the island of Mallorca (source: Rother) - which of course explains why there were a few day trippers there. With some it was easy to see that they were not prepared for a real hike, as light sneakers or even flip-flops are not the ideal equipment for the sometimes steep and stony descent. The female excursionists all had colorful leggings at the start, which is generally not a bad choice and sometimes also presents a nice contrast in color to the otherwise rather earth-colored island 😊 Incidentally, the watchtower seems to be a real Instagram hotspot - and there it is a crisp leggings anyway mandatory for many likes ♥
