This is THE quintessential break up song. Not about crying and moping like lots of other songs describe, but just realising that you gotta move on and you'll be fine, even it its sad.
This song helped me through my divorce exactly because of what you've said, I remember now and feel relieved that it went how it went, love beach house and I always remember them as the band that "walks with me" in every major decision of my life, they're so amazing
LeGrand is exceptional... Alex provides stella guitar flourishes, but its Victoria's hypnotic vocals, abstract lyrics and synth mastery that drive the Beach House sound. So unique.
This lady is great She always be singing about that void where dreams and emotions and imagination collide. She such a space cadet and she cute too. What’s not to like
Victoria and Alex bring so much passion to their live shows and they sound so amazing, just another reason to love this band. so excited to see them for the Once Twice Melody tour (my first concert ever lol)
I think that BH is a masterpiece coming from another planet. She´s very pretty, has an awesome voice. I love the guitar. Acctually it is my favourite band...
Can't believe it's been more than 10 years since I heard this song. This song marked the end of a friendship and it always takes me back to that special kind of heartbreak.
You go for a walk in the park 'cause you don't need anything Your hand that you sometimes hold doesn't do anything The face that you see in the door isn't standing there anymore In a matter of time, it would slip from my mind In and out of my life, you would slip from my mind In a matter of time The face that you saw in the door isn't looking at you anymore The name that you call in its place isn't waiting for your embrace The world that you love to behold cannot hold you anymore In a matter of time it, would slip from my mind In and out of my life, you would slip from my mind In a matter of time More, you want more More, you want more More, you want more, you tell me More, only time can run me More, you want more, you tell me More, only time can run me More, you want more you tell me More, only time can run me More, you want more, you tell me More, only time can run me More, you want more, you tell me More, only time can run me More, you want more, you tell me
This song makes me feel like one would if they succeeded in doing something important and life changing, but gave up something they loved dearly for them to win, only to get to the finish line and realize how big of a mistake they made. that feeling when you win the battle but loose the proverbial war. To get exactly what you want, only to realize it didn't make you happy and wasn't worth the trade.
Thankyou for sharing your beautiful art. It felt so special listening to your music growing up in the sometimes dreary but often astounding rural England.
Such a great band! Such a beautiful, mysterious song! ( Stevie Nicks paved the way for this mysterious vibe) Victoria sounds and looks incredible! Dreamy, elegant guitar melodies; sonically flutter me around in a dream state! I’m gonna say 70s shoegaze!
I've been listening to beach house for months now and I've just looked up their live videos and I'm shook because I had imagined some short skinny white hipster boy as the lead singer, I'm ever so pleased to find this surprise
@@darkestification I don't understand it either but there are so many people who think Vicky is a boy when they hear her voice! I wish I could discover Beach House once again because I can't even imagine how a boy could sing like that.
Found this trough an stupid movie...Shazam it and ....here I am...lovely song, reminds me some ballads from the sixties, those that you loved to dance tight with a beautiful boy...
